Yep. Pretty sure when you're a manager and you're taking bets on how many of your employees will get sick from a new infectious disease instead implemting the appropriate safety measures to help keep them safe that would qualify as gross negligence. But what do I know, I'm not an internet lawyer. From taking bets?

Certainly not, you're not even good enough to make rational coherent thoughts.
One can do both things above, doing one does not exclude the other. You can take bets and also create a safe environment. The two having nothing to do with each other.
So in your rational coherent opinion do you believe the managers at the Tyson plant were able to create a safe work environment while taking bets on how many employees would get sick?

Yep. People should read The Jungle by Upton Sinclair and learn why the FDA was created. Fast Food Nation by Eric Schlosser is another good one that is more recent. Got a feeling we'll be seeing some books about food processing during COVID pretty soon.I worked in a meat packing plant in grand island Nebraska when I was 19 , if you’ve eaten ground beef your Covid worry on a chicken is the least of your problems .. trust me .. I stopped eating ground beef for years and ate ground deer instead .
