Gun control debate (merged)

Well on a positive noted , the reload industry just got a boost until this goes to SCOTUS
Wonder if the resale of home loads are illegal. Plus... they will just buy in bulk from other states.

This is a ridiculous bill and will die a deserved swift death but people who need ammo will get it.

As long as the supply of components is A: available (good luck finding primers right now) or B: the SOB's don't go after that next.

It shouldnt take long , it will get fast tracked to SCOTUS where the ammo ban has already been ruled on once . They are just probing around to see if people are on their toes .

So all the women in my wife's family go do a big shopping day together. Last saturday she was in Springfield at Bass Pro. they had some ammunition come in and were putting it on the shelves. My wife was going to get me some more 30-.06 rounds. They said they were on sale for $40 for a 20 round box. she just walked away.

It was probably Remington's premier bonded ammo, in which case $40 a box of 20 rounds would be a sale (below retail) price. I have been to Bass Pro probably two dozen times since March. They have not gouged on anything that I have noticed. There are days when there is no ball/target ammo but they will have defensive handgun ammo and higher end hunting loads for rifle. My LGS had a small pallet of 115gr fmj 9mm cases yesterday. They were breaking out 50 round boxes and offering those for $35 a box.

Yep. If all they had was, say, the Remington Scirocco or Hornady GMX then $40, even on sale, is pretty straight. If they were asking that for Core Lokts or Power Shoks then that'd be sketchy.
