15 days to flatten the curve became social distance and mask up until there is a vaccine. Now that there are vaccines coming we still need to social distance and mask up AFTER vaccines. With no signs of letting up.

I dont want to argue about it, but knowing you have it makes it possible to take actions to be nearly certain you don't spread it, by isolating yourself. Attitudes would not be so cavalier if this was Ebola, which it's not, I know, but it is also a virus.

Bottom line. Testing reduces deaths.

Yep - S. Korea is a great example. Robust testing and contact tracing (not sure we'd comply they way they do) to isolate carriers.

Downside is you have to remain vigilant until a vaccine or rock solid therapeutics arrive. Otherwise you are perpetually testing.

We are already being isolated sans testing as well. They keep doubling down on the same measures that they told us would work.

If this had been a targeted approach from the start your argument would make sense. But despite those of us saying it should be targeted at positives and the vulnerable we were told that wasnt enough. So the government locked us all down. And now that are putting positives in super duper double dog lock down. It doesnt sell, boy who cried style.

There will still be vaccine effectiveness tracing along with contact tracing after the program starts. We are not getting away from this anytime soon.

No I am saying they need to stick to a strategy.

They are pulling from both active tracking measures as well as general passive lock downs. To me that says there is no real leadership at any level, yes starting with Trump but hitting every bump on the way down. Or this isnt as bad as they make it seem, which the numbers support.

Most of "us" have been saying from day one America should be taking the targeted approach to all of it. That makes sense. Instead we are getting some weird Frankenstein ever changing plan from the medical experts.

As a FF (former fatass) with thyroid issues I have some sympathy but it is waning. Scary so many let themselves go during this when that is the opposite of what should happen to protect your body
