Trump wasn't the one who made this partisan. He came out back in January trying to implement measures to cut it back. The Dems jumped on the "racism" train for two months, saying it was nothing and encouraging people to go out. That's where the divide started. All an effort to get Trump.

It's probably the reason the hospitals are overwhelmed. Every positive is told they have a world ending disease and that they are personally killing grandma. Of course they are going to seek treatment they may or may not need. And once they show up the medical world has to treat them draining resources.

All of our vulnerable family members are also gone, except me. My wife is encouraging me to go out to every large gathering within 100 miles. She has really become quite sociable lately.

Because if we didn't know, more people would contract it, because the person didn't know and didn't isolate. Also, if a person knew they had it, they could seek early treatment, possibly avoiding waiting until it was too late.

There is still some debate about the rate and ease of asymptomatic spread.

Well, if a person let it run its course in isolation, the risk of spread from that person is closer to zero, than if than that person carried on as normal. Not to mention mild, or less symptomatic people wouldn't know for sure unless they were tested

Actually the health director wanted it mandatory but in bipartisan support he was stripped of his power to make it mandatory. So we don't have to take it but I'm also not going around telling people to lockdown and wear mask like Monty is, see the hypocrisy? If it truly were in his interest to "save" lives by doing everything he could then he would be dancing at the chance to take the vaccine, however since the vaccine came in Trumps time it's obviously bad.

Oh I see it , I also see the power these health boards / experts have with this thing . The fact that he had no problem demanding every person in a state take a new vaccine for a virus that has a 99% survival rate is astonishing to me . Then you have Septic in the other thread willing to take anything just to get us back stable again . I’m giving him the benefit of the doubt though and just chalking it up to him spending to much time in a third world country fishing .

At least Septic is consistent, Monty is whatever the party line is that day. If Biden comes out and says take it Monty will be first in line

Not saying it's not growing but in the first article:

Going from 300 to 670 is not an order of magnitude growth. Going to 3000 would be. Minor point but our experts should be precise and not hyperbolic given the level of distrust.

There is an above a 99% chance it's never going to be too late. I am not saying people shouldnt seek treatment if they need/want it. But I dont give into the fear with the numbers where they are. As it is the entire world is in chicken little mode making a bad situation worse.

New Zealand is a tiny island thousands of miles from anyone. They locked down, masked up, self quarantined, and shut down with the worst of them. And they still go through spikes.

As @kiddiedoc (I think) said this thing acts like a virus. Our actions dont impact it too much.

I think you'll find this with people on both sides of the aisle, people are fatigued from all of this and it's hurt a lot of people so now they're desperate. I don't fault anyone for thinking this way, it's not my way of thinking but then again I'm not telling people how to feel or approach this virus.

Agree only we have people telling us that it’s just the right thing to do , you know for society . That’s my problem and it’s a dangerous ideology.

It’s the fear propaganda that I have an issue with . These elites are now demanding things from us while being caught on camera doing what they want that’s directly again what they demand from us . Pelosi , Feinstein, Whitmer , Pritzkers wife running to their home in Florida after his ban , and that little rat Fauci yanking his mask off when he thought the cameras were off .

They are not going to stop with that narrative. Even when we rule someone out for covid we now still have to wear full ppe to enter any room with any oxygen being supplied to the pt stronger than nasal cannula. That's n95, face shield, impermeable gowns and double gloves. We are still treating them like they have covid. This is a system with around 290 ICU beds. Mostly Medicare.
This tells me either we don't trust the tests or we just like to add that ppe charge to their bill daily.
Actually, for me, I believe it's both.
