me so away from Tennessee football. The hate, negativity, criticism and NegaVol attitude has pushed me away from everything Tennessee football. I once saw 14 years of football games in a row, in person. I presently can’t stand to be with the hateful people that claim to be Vol fans!
This negative energy pervades our program and the Legion of Miserables will never let our team improve. This aura pervades ye program and coaches, and yes, players. It’s an environment that produces losing. Our fans are losers but looking for winning. They don’t go together. Own it, it is a fact!

It is the same. Negativity breeds the same result. The coaches were great last year..Terrible this year. Coach Majors called Tennessee fans Legion of the Miserables 40 years ago. Nothing has changed. Our fans have sucked the life out of our program!

I will use an analogy here.

You have a football game with a packed stadium going bananas. You go down 7-0. The crowd is still into it. You go down 14-0. The crowd is still trying to urge the team on. You go down 21-0. The crowd still thinks they have a chance if they start getting some bounces to go their way. You go down 28-0.

And then the crowd begins to sit on their hands and waits for the team to actually do something to give them a reason to continue to cheer. The crowd realizes they're not really doing a damn bit of good to help spur the team to victory in this one.

And that's where the attitude of the fan base and the current state of the program are. At this point, the program has to give people something. Lord knows the fan base has been doing their part for a while now.

Showing up is doing no part!

Showing up is doing no part!
So it's the fans fault because of their negativity, but them showing up and cheering for the team is doing no part? The fortunes of the team are either because of the actions of the fans, or they're not. It can't be both.

Also, you know we won a Natty after firing Majors, right?

Yes, you know If you are guilty. An too many are!

Well, I for one agree with you. I am sorry for allowing Fulmer to stay on tooo long, and I’m very sorry about the Kiffin hire. Totally apologize for not including a buyout clause and allowing him to bolt to USC. (I also apologize for luring Pete Carroll to Seattle that started the chain.., but I digress)

I really blew it with that panic Dooley hire, and really could have managed that better. Lyle Jones? I really beat myself up over that fiasco. Can’t believe I did that.

Finally I had a chance to get the next search right, but I just couldn’t resist trying to hire a man accused in sworn testimony of failing to report child sexual assault on campus. Wow. What was I thinking. I then went on a week long bender, almost hiring The Pirate. Thank goodness I fired myself....the only smart thing on this list. But then? I hire an AD who is a washed up coach no one wanted for anything, and then I allow him to hire a brain-dead arrogant Gump to coach the team.

I don’t even want to discuss the AD hires I made besides Fulmer. Pitiful.

So yeah, I guess I really AM to blame for this mess. And I should just be rah-rah excited about the crap being put on the field now, because I own all those boneheaded mistakes.

Wait....I didn’t do any of that, you say? Well, then, GTFO blaming me for anything, sparky. I’m a solid fan and I will act as I wish. Understood? When the admin cares enough to field a good program, I’ll start being positive again. Got it??

I thought it was the team that sucked the life out of the fans.

I absolutely am guilty of being ticked off at the administration rolling out bargain bin coach after bargain bin coach. I am guilty of being ticked off when the administration extends the same bargain bin coach for NO REASON. I am guilty of being ticked off when we can't replace the bargain bin coach who is in over his head because we gave him an extension for no reason.

If those are the charges, then yes, I am guiltier than O.J.

So your ok with losing for the last 20 years. Oh let me guess your the type that believes in participation trophies? The negativity stems from the coaching staff and then refusing to fix it because of stubbornness!!

Trying to blame the fans is literally the dumbest thing I see in forums or social media. We have been near the bottom of the conference for a sustained period and the stadium was still almost always full or right at it. Every season there would be optimism by fans. So much so that the Tennessee “next year is our year” memes became a thing. The fans aren’t holding the team back. And seriously, did you quote yourself and agree with your own post?

So its the fans fault for Tn sucking for the past 15 years? You realize how pathetic you sound? Go find you a safe place and crawl into it. So you just cant stand to hear the truth about UT football.
