"Standing" is a court favorite. If they don't want to address a sticky issue, they'll find a way to make standing stick and blow it off. Not one of us here has standing to challenge anything that happened in this election. It wouldn't seem that a poll watcher would either since he/she was not more personally affected by the election outcome than you or I. Perhaps one of our legal beagles can counter or explain it better, but that's the way it appears to be.

I think that's exactly it. I dont know if they have the goods or not. I'm sure there are some irregularities and maybe some malfeasance. I'm highly skeptical that Venezuela and Cuba hacked the vote. I think this is the hail Mary to gum up the works and get selection of electors kicked to republican state legislatures.

Hes trying to run out the clock. But I still dont think that helps him. Because he is clearly behind. To continue the sports analogy he needs some momentum before trying to force OT. As it is it looks like he is punting on third down down more than a score.

I don't believe that is the argument. The argument is that if the software could be used to fix a Venezuelan election, then it could be potentially used to fix a US election. Are you satisfied that suspect software acceptable to a Venezuelan dictator is used in the US?

I’m curious to see the proof on that. Wayne County isn’t even close to 100% of registered voters casting a vote.

That link does do a pretty good job of refuting Rudy Giuliani's baseless claims... but by all means, take the 76 year old man with black hair dye running down his face in the middle of a press conference seriously.

You could be right. I was listening on the radio and got out of the truck when she was referring to influence from communists,Venezuela, Cuba and the Chinese. I assumed she was alleging they had a hand in the "hack."

So, luther, a number of poll watchers have made claims about things done incorrectly. Can you tell us how those claims are addressed, and how they are dismissed? If you've ever worked in a bureaucracy, you'd know that claims of impropriety simply vanish - a lot of time the "claimant doesn't know the big picture; therefore, he/she couldn't possibly know what's wrong or important." That's why every now and then there's a whistle blower, a big scandal, and people wondering how this could have gone on for so long.

Perhaps the reason there's no evidence of wrongdoing is because poll watchers and election workers have no formal path forcing accusations to be heard? In court they have no standing. Seems like the whole concept of poll watchers is something like off gas in a hurricane. Imagine football or other sport where the officials could make calls and a coach could overrule - how many times do you suppose both coaches would bless the officials call?

I haven't read or heard what went on specifically today, or that the issue came up again today. Again just that if the software could be used to hack one election that it could be used to hack others. I was going by older news, so it's entirely possible the story has changed - I'd be more shocked if it didn't.
