2020 Presidential Race

The Shokin affair was a foreign policy success story that morons like Trump tried to spin against Biden. Not a surprise that it was a huge failure.
The thing I don’t get are the people who spend 4 years pretending that they’re not Trump sycophants, defended Trump to the hilt in the impeachment, and then regurgitate Gateway Pundit propaganda about this story like there’s ironclad proof of disqualifying wrongdoing.

Like damn, you put all that effort in and you just piss it away over this?

Nothing nefarious going on here, no way.

If there was nothing going on there wouldn’t be this fight from the left. It’s like if my son tells me he cleaned his room but won’t let me in to check it. It’s so obvious that they have cheated massively, or they wouldn’t care to have it audited and checked

Oh for sure.

November 3: “I’m not a Trump supporter. I didn’t vote for him.”
November 10: “We should split up the country.”

Trump could be spared by a new admin, but Barr has pissed off too many people at DOJ, in my opinion.

So you are automatically connecting dots and going to Barr did something - without evidence. Now where have I been hearing there was no fraud because nobody has shown evidence? 'Scuse me for being a bit cynical in my outlook.

No, in my opinion, Barr would be made an example of if he has been dirty, but Trump will probably pardon him, anyway.

I'm not assigning guilt, but I do think he's a crook.

I can't believe the price of textbooks, and it seems like Elsevier comes up every time you see a textbook. Do they actually have a monopoly or does it just appear that way? I'll admit I graduated with a MS in engineering in the mid 70s, but I can't remember paying more than something like $30 for a book - and that one was something published as I recall by the Canadian or British Atomic Energy Commission - not a run of the mill text. What my wife and son paid in the last few years was obscene. His PhD was a full ride and teaching fellowship (or whatever); my wife's was GI Bill.
Guy from McGraw Hill told me several years back they were getting out of the book business and into the digital only curriculum...its crazily overpriced...every week I would get some new program or book to sample...I graduated when you could still buy used ones

Don't get me wrong if they hid assets - I don't mind the company being toasted, but you didn't show evidence of either Barr advising them to do so or making the case go away. The bigger issue is that we are simply stupid with the tax code and corporate taxes. Companies have choices about where to locate, and rational countries don't drive corporations away with absurd tax policies.

It's alright though, I've seen comments of a new administration, that isn't going to happen. I've been saying it for weeks.

I have seen your comments as well, and honestly I wasn't sure if you were just having fun or serious. I'll just assume you are serious, as you've been around several years, and probably not someone's alternate.
