2020 Presidential Race

We weren't supposed to discuss financial stuff with students but I always told them not to max out their loans to just take what was needed for books and tuition to live cheaply and eat ramen noodles and tuna for a few years.
Agreed. The problem is now-a-days tuition alone can bury you in debt.

You know after the last four years of ******** from the left I really don’t want to hear about your concern for our country or it’s institutions now.

We’ve got an individual under a felony indictment in another country resulting from an extensive investigation about to be sworn in as president. This idiot influence peddler actually did what the left accused Trump of an impeached for. Btw no felony indictment from that same country on Trump... because he didn’t do it!
Is there an actual source for this? And no, OAN, is not a source.

It's odd how government offers with other expensive goods and services price controls (housing, healthcare, medications, etc). But with tuition, price controls are never discussed.

Oh so Steele gave up his sources? "Russian government guy"? you mean the one that said there was a pee tape, but later said there wasn't really a pee tape?

I don't have much faith in the pee tape being real, and at this point wouldn't surprise too many people anyway, if it was.

I'm fine waiting for the truth to come out... Trump's "under audit" taxes, unredacted reports etc.

From the linked article about Source 3

"In the nearly four years since they were published, many of the unverified allegations about President Trump compiled by former British spy Christopher Steele have been widely discredited, including by Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation of Russian meddling in the 2016 U.S. election."

So we have the pee tape (the supposed "kompromat") not even being believed by the source. A source who was investigated for being a Russian spy.

"Ms. Galkina was the source, for instance, of the dossier’s contention that Webzilla played a central role in the 2016 hacking of the Democratic National Committee, according to people familiar with the matter. The release of emails stolen from the Democratic Party leadership roiled the presidential campaign."

"She was also responsible for the mention of Mr. Gubarev in the dossier as a hacking expert recruited under duress by Russian security services, these people said.
Likewise, she was behind the dossier’s assertion that Mr. Trump’s lawyer, Michael Cohen, and Russian intelligence officials, held a secret meeting in Prague in the summer of 2016 to discuss how to pay the hackers and cover up their work, the people said.
Messrs. Cohen, Gubarev and others have long since denied taking part in the activities described in the dossier. Contacted by the Journal, Ms. Galkina acknowledged receiving a reporter’s written questions, but didn’t respond to them."

We know Prague didn't happen and Gubarev hasn't been found to fit this description

"A report by a former FBI cyber crime division official concluded last year that the internet servers provided by Gubarev’s firm were used by Russian intelligence agencies to tap into the Democratic Party servers.
But the report did not directly implicate Gubarev’s team of conducting the operations, according to reports in U.S. media."

Now about Ms. Galkina

"While contributing to the dossier, the people familiar with the matter said, Ms. Galkina was in a messy dispute with her employer, Webzilla’s parent company."

"Relations soured to the point where her manager went to authorities in the Cypriot city of Limassol in November of that year and filed a statement with police. According to the statement, which was reviewed by the Journal, Ms. Galkina was chronically showing up late to work, sometimes appearing drunk.
The manager told police that an acquaintance of Ms. Galkina had told him he would face deep trouble, including possible death, unless he paid €10,000 ($11,740) in compensation, according to the statement, which was confirmed by a Cypriot official and a person who attended its recording. Because the manager never filed a formal complaint, the matter was dropped, the official said.
In November 2016, Ms. Galkina was fired. Weeks later, she implicated Webzilla and Mr. Gubarev in the hacking, according to people familiar with the matter."

I've never read the dossier, but all anyone seemed to care about was the pee part, anyway.

I recall that Trump's campaign was approached and told that the Kremlin had the tape, but investigators later asked the guy who said it, and he said he thought it wasn't real. Like what was he gonna say?

that's my extent of my knowledge of the dossier, and I still think the pee tape is plausible, and not much anyone would care, anyway.

I'll move my projections to 80%?

Seriously, I'd love to see the unredacted Mueller report, and Trump's taxes. The Senate posted their conclusions on Russia, and it doesn't "exonerate" much of anything.

It's his head. It's hollow; things bounce around in there and come out again and again. You can't change him - that requires something that can accept "foreign" facts. FOD is foreign object damage in jet engines. Luther's head cannot be FODed.
I was thinking it might be brain damage, but your diagnosis may be the better one.

Why don’t you search for the Ukrainian court order then. Yes, it’s real. I don’t really care if you don’t like the messenger it’s still there. TGP carried the story again today also it’s gaining steam.

Yes your influencing peddling dementia patient that you’re going to swear in on Jan 20, 2021 has a Ukrainian felony indictment against him.

You are being sucked into insanity. Step away from whatever right wing bs you are consuming. GA's voting system is fine. Right wing nuts are now trying to lay groundwork to limit the Jan. 5th senate vote and then dispute the results if the dems win.

GA's voting system is far from fine. Anybody that stops counting at 10 on election night has serious shenanigans going on. They said it was a busted pipe. It was actually a clogged toilet that was fixed within an hour.

I can't believe the price of textbooks, and it seems like Elsevier comes up every time you see a textbook. Do they actually have a monopoly or does it just appear that way? I'll admit I graduated with a MS in engineering in the mid 70s, but I can't remember paying more than something like $30 for a book - and that one was something published as I recall by the Canadian or British Atomic Energy Commission - not a run of the mill text. What my wife and son paid in the last few years was obscene. His PhD was a full ride and teaching fellowship (or whatever); my wife's was GI Bill.

All those visits from Rudy finally payed off?

Some people might want to start using alternative search platforms if they want to Actually see news from around the World unfiltered.

Something like DuckDuckGo.

You’re old as Noah and I’m assuming that you didn’t get any dumber so I’ll take you’re word for it.
But just like in Clinton’s case it was irrelevant.
Believe me. I had a history teacher who explained Andrew Johnson's impeachment thoroughly. A.J. is buried here in town at the National Cemetery. His grave is here. His house is here. His tailor shop is here. Davy Crockett's birthplace cabin is also here. There is a reproduction cabin building that represents when Greeneville was the capital of the Lost State of Franklin. Franklin seceded from the state of North Carolina. This is an old town with a lot of history.

Exactly what Trump was accused of. Withholding the $1B in funds until the prosecutor was fired. The story has been out all along they just masked the identity of the American they were investigating. The investigation was closed on November 10 which was widely reported in the US. The resulting indictment revealed it was Joe Biden and not a peep on that in MSM. Wonder why?
