Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

That people refusing to wear masks is weak and stupid? Yes, I’d say 99% of us actually get a chuckle out of all the whining.

You are full of sh!t . You might get a chuckle because you have to wear them for your jobs and laugh at others saying they don’t have to . But the week and stupid part I’m calling BS

You mistake minor inconvenience/discomfort for a real loss of freedom. Spare everyone the slippery slope garbage, sometimes it’s just flat land.
Any government mandate on the people is a loss of freedom. Its not a slippery slope issue, it's an issue of acceptance. You are willing to give up your, however small, degree of freedom it takes to require a mask. Others arent. Further you arent willing to accept a person's right to self determinate on what is their right/freedom.

So already you have taken two steps away from freedom.

You maybe , not the ones I know . If you travel to different hospitals you’ll see not everyone thinks like you do .
I am a medical transit driver and I go to dozens of different medical facilities weekly...I like to go in and talk to staff to get a feel for the mood on Covid..

You are 100% right. That dude is trapped by his small picture perception. It may be so where he is.

You can find it anywhere on line. Zero encouragement for masks or distancing, its all up to you, and by all means hold rallies and mass gatherings with no distancing all you want. Wheeee!!!
That's not denial. If you're <70 and healthy that advice is fine

Rallies, protests, riots, marches, etc have not stopped since this began yet you only call out one side. Interesting (not really)

My mom is a nurse , her and her husband run a pharmaceutical supply company that delivers to different hospitals, NGV my wife is an ICU travel nurse , just about all of my aunts are nurses, my sister in law teaches nursing , He is full of poo poo . Lol

She is shared between two rural hospitals. Their covid wing is full. Some pts are xferred to ICU (I think the criteria is needing more than 5L of oxygen) and there are a few beds open in ICU.

The beds aren't staying full with the same people. It rotates about every 2 to 3 days with a new pt taking the place of the pt who recovered.
Thanks for the info..... I wish our government would just give info and allow us to make the best decisions for our family.

Actually her approach on masks is to provide the data and encourage you to take a look at in and decide rather than having a mandate from the top.

She encourages monitoring for symptoms and staying home if sick.

She isn't denying masks work, she isn't saying don't wear one, she isn't saying have big gatherings. She's saying be vigilant and make adult decisions.

Horrifying.

Yes, that’s the point. We do it anyway. It seems ridiculous to watch so many people whine about it from our perspective.

And you are right..

Covid is never going away and people will be getting it and dying from it till time ends, just like tbe flu...and that is a absolute fact.

There is no eradicating it or stopping it..lockdown...and it will come right back again when you open up. The only hope to slow its effect on the elderly is the vaccine.

Then pay me what you make weekly and I’ll wear the stupid mask and grin the whole time . None of that after insurance and taxes crap either , I don’t need your insurance or tax deductions . It’s a win win for both of us , I’ll buy NGV a shiny new 9mm for Christmas and you’ll feel better that I’m doing my part to save society .

Take the government mandates out of the equation and consider the person-by-person decision-making process. If you don’t understand that masks can or may help prevent the severity of a pandemic but you choose not to, for whatever reason, is that, on any level, sound decision making? Is that being considerate, on any level?

Maybe, but it’s also a problem when propaganda convinces citizens that prioritizing your own comfort over the well-being of others is righteous.
It's not about comfort. I would be pissed off and probably stop wearing my favorite/most comfortable shoes if the government required everyone to wear them.

For the sake of argument lets say it isn't considerate. Now what?
