"Politicians acting like politicians and ignoring what the actual experts say has been fueling the spread of this virus and is what plunged this country into this continued public health crisis in the first place. ?We urge everyone to continue to be smart and act responsibly. We know this makes people unhappy, but better unhappy then sick or worse," Rich Azzopardi, the governor's senior adviser, said in a statement to CNN.
This may be the first time in history asymptomatic people are instructed to behave: 1. as if they are chronically infected, 2. like those who are fearful, 3. like those who are at risk.
I am not masking unless a private business asks me to. I am happy to stand away from people. I am happy to not speak, not cough, not sneeze, wash my hands, etc. I refuse to behave as if I have something to fear.
Let me go ahead help you out: wearing underwear on your head for a month might prevent a death.Like people who work in an operating room every day? It’s not hard, also a very odd hill to die on, so to speak. People hid from Nazis in a single room for years but we can’t be bothered wear a mask to go into a store.
If someone told me that wearing underwear on my head for a month might prevent a death I would do it, even if I don’t believe it to be true. The consequences of me being wrong are drastically different than the consequences of me being right. We’ve lost all sense of community in favor of individual liberties. That’s not where most of us grew up, but it’s where we live now.

it is not analogous to working in an OR. You have an ethical and legal responsibility to do no harm to your patient. You also do much more than wear a mask. Plus, your mask is different than what we see in public.Like people who work in an operating room every day? It’s not hard, also a very odd hill to die on, so to speak. People hid from Nazis in a single room for years but we can’t be bothered wear a mask to go into a store.

Really??? Do you apply this same "if I might prevent a death" in ALL aspects of your life?Like people who work in an operating room every day? It’s not hard, also a very odd hill to die on, so to speak. People hid from Nazis in a single room for years but we can’t be bothered wear a mask to go into a store.

And when the next Great Depression happens...people will revolt.Careful Doc...these are liberals here whose pearls are fully clutched...you have to explain like you were talking to a toddler: step by step..or you will get. " that doesn't count, the study was about the INFLUENZA!!!"
1. Influenza is "the flu"
.2. The flu is a coronavirus, just like covid. So similar in fact, that if you read the small print on most of those "covid tests," it just says " a positive result means antibodies for a coronavirus were present. This could be Covid19, influenza, or even Rhinovirus which is the" common cold." Yeah...thats right. All those folks both living and dead who were counted as covid cases may have actually just a cold, or the regular old flu. Wow.
3. The particles of virus that are aerosol (,think mist in the air) are roughly the same size and shape whether they are covid, the flu, or rhinovirus. All very similar. Which means....
4. The studies apply to Covid just as well as regular old ",FLU" virus. In neither case would there be any measurable difference in rate of transmission whether wearing a mask, or not wearing a mask. They do not work. Period. Thats why the several Doctors and nurses who post here keep saying. " Hey...masks don't work."
Think that pretty much made it dummy proof. I am sure I was intently racist somehow by mansplaining it to these fools. Our resident "racist experts" can chime in and blame this too on old Whitey....
This crap is all a SETUP by the way...Michigan, Ohio, California, Washington, etc etc are all starting to lock down again....unconstitutional garbage...but they are just setting the stage up for Pedo Joe... Pedo Joe is gonna try to lock this whole country down ASAP in January....which will immediately kick off the good old Biden Recession....
Guaranteed Biden Recession incoming....
Funny, it looks just like what is happening in every other country. I wonder why? And, so, the grand Swedish laissez faire experiment fails...
WaPO:
Even Sweden appears to be abandoning the Swedish model. On Monday, the country’s authorities banned gatherings of more than eight people as they grappled with the second coronavirus wave surging through much of Europe. The new restrictions followed other protocols coming into effect this week, including protective measures around nursing homes and bans on alcohol sales at restaurants and bars after 10 p.m.
The shift in tone is noteworthy given Sweden’s notorious light-touch approach to the pandemic. “It is a clear and sharp signal to every person in our country as to what applies in the future,” Prime Minister Stefan Lofven said during a news conference Monday. “Don’t go to the gym, don’t go the library, don’t have dinner out, don’t have parties — cancel!”

You are a communist..this country is founded on individual liberty, not the collective.Like people who work in an operating room every day? It’s not hard, also a very odd hill to die on, so to speak. You do not see the danger in that. It is far worse than this puny virus ever will be. If you care to, go look up the twentieth century fates of over a hundred MILLION citizens/prisoners/victims of enlightened collective communists countries The USSR, China and Cambodia..

You seem to spout alot about "communism". Question: Do you collect Social Security? If not of age yet, do you plan on doing so?
Bad example, a ponzie scheme meant to keep in safeguard, money literally taking from individuals in disparaging amounts and less returns on that for many, for a retirement for a people deemed incapable of doing so on their own..........thus, the government needed to "help" them do so......and........what do we have with the disappearing retirement net......yeah, in and of itself a great example of communism that delivers nothing that it said was intended.........left with an empty and worthless bowl of nothing for all to enjoy.
Social Security is, in fact, not a form of communism - rather, it's a form of socialism. Socialism is wholly compatible with democracy and maintaining our liberties. Social Security is a great thing, and yeah, we all put money into a pot to pay for it - and, no, it's not a ponzie scheme. In fact, Social Security has run a net overture for years (feds take in more $ for it than they spend on it), but our government continues to fail by spending this money - which should be earmarked and/or placed in a dedicated fund solely for SS.
Regardless, my point is that Joe Biden is not a communist, nor does he support any communist policies. Socialism, on the other hand, will continue to grow here in the US - just as it has in Europe. Obamacare (ACA) is a large step in this direction, and one that I believe is a net positive.
SS is a ponzi scheme that was never meant to be a full retirement fund. It perpetuates govt reliance and if I could opt out right now they can keep what I've already donated. In fact, Social Security has run a net 'profit' for years (feds take in more $ for it than they spend on it), but our government continues to fail by spending this money - which should be earmarked and/or placed in a dedicated fund solely for SS.
