Pruitt keeps his job if...

What is a semi-realistic scenario where Pruitt is fired this year? Imo it’s only if we get blown out (21+ point losses) against Auburn, UF, And a&m, while also losing to Vandy.

A scandal. He ain't getting fired this year with that buyout unless we were to just lose in embarrassing fashion the rest of the way out. It would have to take blowout after blowout and then Fulmer would likely have to can him to go after Freeze because USC has made the first move. For the record, i'm not a fan of firing Pruitt this year. But I do think his seat is a tad bit warmer with USC actually ponying up to first to MusChump

Yes and mess up his recruiting.hes in the top 5 almost or is.bailey transfers with others.ignorant firing a coach after 2 half seasons. As long as he's recruiting in top 5 or so.he deserves 7 years at least, but with better coordinators.but if he keeps recruiting in the top 5, and it keeps going this same way, then he gets fired 2 years from this year.

He's not getting fired this year. Fulmer gave him that extension and essentially will not be willing to admit his mistake until it's time for us to show him the door again too. Next year he is coaching for both of their jobs and anything less than a trip to Atlanta should get him canned.
There is a lot of room for acceptable progress between a potential 2-8 season and requiring a trip to Atlanta the next season. If that is the expectation, worst to first in one season, then we may as well fire him now and get a head start. We aren't going to Atlanta, next year. That's way too unrealistic based on what we see on the field in 2020.

If the requirement would be going to the SEC Championship game next year, then you might as well fire him today because that is not going to happen.

Pruitt will NOT be fired this season without cause period. I will go so far to say it is not likely he would be fired even next year (without cause).!

If he doesn't win a single game next year, he MIGHT be fired. But even then it is not likely, not with Foolmer.

Remember this......

"Pruitt, following his September contract extension, is under contract through Jan. 31, 2026."

NEWS FLASH!!! He isn't coming here! Stop living a childish fantasy.
Wow! Touched a nerve there? Did you even read the post I was replying to? Hint: had absolutely nothing to do with Gruden coming here. Had everything to do with fact the poster stating that all coaches we looked at in last coach hire were unsuccessful in current role.

The Muschamp firing changes things. I was saying no chance too until Sunday night. There is not a guarantee now that Pruitt will stay.

The better question might be ‘Pruitt LOSES his job if...’

Barring a major scandal; I don’t see any realistic scenario where he loses his job this year. He will make just enough changes to his staff going into next season but he will have a hot seat and a short leash going into 2021.

Let's just lock Pruitt down forever. We know that if a miracle happened and they actually fired him, they'd hire the assistant to the assistant to the worst possible coach available.

The assistant coaches I don’t think are the problem. Atleast not Ansley, or Chaney. It’s all on Pruitt
