The main reason I can’t stand his slimy ass was when he was doing a post game on the field interview at Neyland after his team won the interviewer asked him what he liked about the win and his reply was what I like is all these people (gesturing towards the stands) are going home unhappy. Why would we want him as a DC, didn’t Ole Miss score 59 on his cocks?

Same reason as other teams scoring up on us with a DC as a HC..doesn't always work out as that.

I'd probably still take him if he could help this staff. Especially if we could get him at a discount and let SCar make up the difference with the buyout. I want to be on the other side of one of those deals.

He would not come here as DC anyway. No good coach will come here as long as Pruitt is head coach. He just fired a guy after a few months for no apparent reason and anyone with eyes can see that he’s a dead man walking on the job whether it’s this year or next.

Supposedly Pruitt and Muschamp have a friendship. Not sure how accurate that is, but I've seen it reported. And he'll end up a DC somewhere, so why not here? I know the odds of it happening are like nil, but imagine a staff with Muschamp as Co-DC coaching our ILBs, Bo Davis coaching our DL, Tosh Lupoi coaching the OLBs, and Pruitt and Ansley working on our secondary. Like I said, it won't happen, but that's a good set of coaches IMO. Defensive side would be set. Then you just have to fix the offensive side. I wouldn't be opposed to sliding Tee to QB coach, Osovet to WR coach, and putting Nieds back with TEs. Keep Graham with the RBs, ditch Weinke or move him to an off field position, then find upgrades to the OL and OC. Friend's contract ends after the season so he can move on, and you either move Chaney to an off-field position or let him go and swallow the buyout. I actually like Chaney, but we need a more creative offense. We know Pruitt isn't going anywhere this season, so we'll see staff turnover as the AD pretends to address fan concerns. That being the case, might as well dream big.

I just want to be competitive again. Whatever that looks like. I just have absolutely no faith that we have people at any level to get that done.

I know I say that a lot but my choices are to bitch or stop watching. I’m not Gonna stop watching so everyone should just put me on ignorance (shout out to @95 Vol Alum

I don't mind bitching, but I hate when every other post is "fire Pruitt!" or "hire Freeze!". Pruitt isn't getting fired this year. If/when he eventually does, I have zero faith the university will hire someone fans want. They'll hire another low tier coach then convince us he's gonna be great, then he won't be. This is what it is to be a Vol fan. Suck it up and accept it. I have enough misery in life that I'm trying to escape from. It really sucks to come here and experience it as well. Posting in the RF, it gets hard not to tell certain posters to just **** off.
