2021 D coordinator [Muschamp]

I'd be fine with Muschamp as a position coach or DC, but frankly, our real problems are on offense. Well ... other than the 'not being able to stop a slant' thing.

Don't want that mad man in Knoxville. If UT did hire him as DC he would probably end up HC after 2022. It's the UT way. o_O

Won’t matter. He’ll wait for the best offer. Lest anybody forget, they had a “head start” when Spurrier quit mid-season. Targeted Smart and Herman...ended up with Muschamp.

Probably. Doubt he's even considering UT as a viable option as long as Fulmer is AD. Can't see UT being that all-in on Freeze to make such sweeping changes no matter how badly I want to see it. Certainly would set the stage for Sexton to make some insane damands I suspect.

I don't think Muschamp would be interested in a position coaching job, imo.

if he wants to coach, he better start getting interested. Unless he wants to be the HC at South Paducah Community College, he is going to have to take an assistant job. Considering that his buyout will tack on whatever is needed to guarantee $3 million plus for the next few years, I don't think he'll be too worried about the money.

He's failed twice as a HC. I don't see him getting another chance for a while, if ever.

I'm not talking about him taking a hc position. Im talking about a job like DL coach, or LB's, etc. I think he'd want to at least be a DC.

Bring him in as DC and Briles in as OC and Pruitt can just call timeouts and call kids to recruit. Let his coordinators run their own show, complete with restocking the position coaches.

My thoughts:

1. Muschamp has already been the head coach of TWO SEC programs. I do not see him being a DC for anybody more than 1 season before taking another head coaching gig.
2. Muschamp I believe would have a hard time working for a guy with only 2.5 years of coaching experience given what Muschamp has on his record. Since Pruitt is reported to be hard to get along with and we all know about Muschamp's short fuse, I don't see that work relationship working out

I'd take a hard pass on Muschamp as DC at UT. It either wont work or it wont last long.

Pretty much what I think.
It’s time to start over from the top down
