I do not think there will be a coaching change at UT. I don’t think Fulmer will abandon his hire, CJP. Fulmer himself will have to be facing replacement to dump Pruitt within the next two years. It’s not just buyouts and money. Fulmer’s legacy is on the line. If Pruitt turns out to be his Battle, there’s no Johnny Majors out there looking to come home.

If Pruitt flounders through the next two years, and Fulmer has to replace him or leave with him, I’d rather UT hires a Matt Campbell than a Hugh Freeze. Freeze reminds me too much of Jackie Sherrill, who won by cheating everywhere he went. UT would be set back another decade by significant NCAA sanctions.
