Concerning those n95’s...a little side story.

Those of us in healthcare know there is still a shortage of 1860 and 1860s n95’s. My hospital was able to secure APPROVED n95’s a few weeks ago (they were made in China).

After repeated fit testing attempts, not a single mask passed. I’m very curious as to how these masks became “approved”

Anyway, just wanted to pass on the information.

China will fake whatever they can to "pass" our standards. It's just paper work. No way to test if they are actually testing on a broad scale. They are constantly lying in the stuff they sell to us.

There is a reason we dont allow any chinese products for finishes people come into contact with in our projects.

8 months ago, it was acknowledged that N95 masks offer superior protection, but people were told not to use them due to shortages for healthcare workers.

If we are really serious about saving lives, how in the hell do we not have about a billion N95s out to the public by now, or especially to the elderly? You're going to tell me we can't mobilize production in 8 months? In WW2, we were cranking out airplanes at an amazing clip a couple months after Pearl Harbor.

It's also worth pointing out that deaths were much higher in April and May as opposed to "last summer". We haven't reached those numbers yet
