Unless the rankings aren't unanimous......UT has had a higher recruiting class than UF the past five years.

The past 7 SEC rankings (shows talent inherited AND recruited by Mullen and Pruitt) per 24/7

UF - 7, 10, 6, 5, 4, 5, 6 = Avg 6.1

UT - 5, 2, 7, 7, 8, 7, 7 = Avg 6.1

Talent isn't the reason we beat them only once last decade. It's the fact that Muschamp, McElwain, and Mullen are far superior coaches to Dooley, Butch, and Pruitt

They also had 4 coaches in about 7 years, one of whom got fired in circus fashion for making up stories about death threats and two 4 win seasons in a short window. But they were WAAAAAAY better off than Tennessee.

No, they hired a proven winner and we hired a rookie joke from Alabama.

2016:

UF- 12 average per recruit- 88.72
TN- 14 average per recruit- 89.12

2017:

UF- 11th average per recruit- 89.11
TN- 17th average per recruit- 87.24

2018:

UF- 14th average per recruit- 90.75
TN- 21st average per recruit- 87.57

2019:

UF- 9th average per recruit- 90.56
TN- 13th average per recruit- 90.46

2020:

UF- 9th average per recruit- 90.74
UT- 10th average per recruit- 89.91

So no we haven’t had a higher ranked recruiting class than UF the past 5 years. They have recruited better and gotten better players. People need to stop this narrative that UF suffered anything remotely close what we have. Even in their one 4-8 season they didn’t go winless in SEC play.

Shall I say more?

Florida by 50? Fulmer issues a statement of confidence in Pruitt after the blowout loss. He's closing the gap on the leaders of the conference.

I got a question. Does Pruitt's jock smell like cornbread or do you just enjoy depending his inability to be a competent HC?

I am not defending anything. UF has out recruited, out coached and out played us for years. But some want to act like UF ever reaches the lows we have. Let me know when UF went winless in the conference.

Marginally more talented. Not 4 possession beatdown more talented.

Lol. Sure thing. Even at our absolute best we still never dominate UF. How many times have we really and truly dominated them since 1990? Twice maybe? UF is infinitely better than we are and has been for a long time. That’s not gonna change even when we change coaches.

1992 was only time.

We've won 5x from 1991-2020. We have won back to back games once (2003-04). Wanna guess the only time we had the coaching advantage. If you guess 02-04, you are correct.

In the past 30 years, there has been little difference in recruiting (except 08-10 with Meyer). It falls squarely on UF having better coaches.

In the past 7 years, we are approx. the same in recruiting rankings (6th on average in the SEC)

You act as if we’re 112th and they’re 10th. The gap isn’t recruiting

Yeah keep thinking we have had the same caliber of players as they have had. The eye test will tell you different. For years they have been faster than us. UF is superior in every way. Including coaching and players.

We out recruited UF then as well. So we had better players.

If you look from 1990-2005, we by far had better players. The NFL draft would prove that. We were still 5-11 in that span. From 2006-2010 (roughly) UF had far better players. Since then, the talent has been largely similar.

Where they have beat us is finding guys better for their system, developing those guys, and coaching them up better. We have a 4* and a 5* QB and they have a 2*. Trask has been coached up better than our guys.

I voted 20+ but now I’m rethinking that a few seconds later

Offense alone will give up a couple scores....and Trask will slant over the middle us to death paired with a couple bomb TDs...then the running game opens up,,,, oh lawd

Well let's see, we score our usual 13; and UF gets their usual 55. Sound about right? 55-13.

I think JG and probably the whole team will be really really embarrassed in the Gator game. Sad actually.
