Where is Tennessee on a scale of 1-10 as it relates to talent on the squad vs. results? Obviously, 1 being very low and underachieving, and a 10 overachieving.

I would say our talent is 7-8 and our development is around -8. This team was better last year. I think the change in coaching staff hurt this team more than I thought it would. ,

Outside of the last 2 years? Probably a 4 or 5.

Assuming 1-4 is underachieving against teams we should beat (read as team we have our recruiter) and 6-10 is overachieving. Typically we beat opponents we are supposed to and lose to who we are supposed to.

The last two years I’d say a 3.

If our overall talent is ranked in the top half of the conference, shouldn't we be about 3rd in the East AT MINIMUM? We should have more talent than SC. According to the last 3 year rankings.

Young talent 7-8 overall talent 6. Very important to get Salter and the LB'S and TE in to add what this team is missing. Also Brown at RB. On Salter a different more Dynamic player than Bailey not saying though Bailey will not pan out he may be very good hear. Salter however has the whole package he is better than Dobbs coming out of Highschool much better. IN CHRIST Alone.

Recruiting hasn't been a problem for us yet.

I saw the way our defense played up until the first half of the UGA game---and I genuinely think this is a playoff caliber defense.

However, the QB play that has killed us for 3 years reared its head....and the entire team fell off because of QB play.

I've said it before--but I'll say it again--look at Clemson vs. BC in the first half without Trevor Lawrence. They looked like a completely different team on both sides of the ball. The QB is the most important position on the team. And right now, we've got a kid that is sinking the entire team.

That seems to be agreed upon by EVERYONE except for Coach Pruitt.

LSU owns that title...

LSU lost their nearly their entire starting team from last year to the draft and more from people who could come back choosing to sit out due to covid. Plus they lost their starting QB for the season and are starting a freshman there. And they'd beat Tennessee by 21+ if we played them tomorrow. They are averaging nearly 40 a game, they've just had trouble stopping anyone. But no one has much trouble stopping Tennessee's offense.

All true but they still have a more talented roster than Tennessee....

Of the 14 teams in the SEC. I would say we are somewhere between 5th to 8th in talent. This season I would say we are in 11th or 12th place in the real world.
on scale of 1 to 10 i'd say 3.5.

2 maybe.

We did beat South Carolina, which is comparable to us talent-wise, but we have more talent than Kentucky and Arkansas.
