Whoa, that's gonna leave a viscous mark on some psyches suggesting that the electorate actually investigate facts and not simply accept slogans and slick ads put out by politicians. Even worse would be the suggestion that they look at the wording to see what was unsaid or the totality of the implications. Sounds like somebody in this example didn't do the homework and is having buyer's remorse.

Imagine if presidential debates were different - one candidate asks the other to go into detail about a specific item on his platform and then they have the traditional presentation of a plan and the one asking the question gets a real rebuttal. The the other gets to lead off. I can't see either of the candidates impressing anybody, but it would be entertaining watching them fail.
