He’s solid but is a one cut back that gets very very few yards after contact. We need a better back and maybe he can become that but he isn’t a tough runner at all right now

Yeah maybe. It was a fine line between giving Maurer enough or too much time. People have been calling for Maurer for weeks and saying how much better it would be with him and how he just needed more snaps. Seems not. They gave him 4 drives. Maybe you give him 3? 2 seems restrictive for QB2. Meh, at the end we can all see why they didn't want him out there to begin with.

If we had a passing game with a pulse to keep defenses honest, Gray and Smalls would both look a lot better. Both are solid.

No, we want constant coaching searches, when we see the chicken crap we have been fed for the 4th time now, can’t cut it. Pruitt has been telling people he can always go back to Bama and work for Saban, if this doesn’t work. That’s grounds for dismissal alone! That infuriates me. You can’t give 100% to your job, when you are already thinking about a fallback option.

We want and deserve a winner for a change! We have been patient and fed this trash for 12 years! Freeze can still make this the decade of the Vols. Make it happen.

The OL has been a disappointment I agree but they have been very good the last 2 weeks imo.
They are perhaps the only unit I see getting better. Of course they should have played better sooner though

Long time lurker, scarce poster:

Just landed at the great Tri-Cities Regional airport. Flew economy class to save a buck and in the row next to me sat a man resembling Hugh Freeze. I said hey coach and he just grinned. Asked him what brought him to the area and he said he was renting a car from Avis under the alias Butch Dooley with the intent to drive to Knoxville. Said he had heard our rabid fan base and Volnation members were experts at tracking planes.....

Am I doing this right?

No. Damage is done. He has to win 3 of last 4 to win me back. And by win me back I mean give him next year. I want him gone after 3-7.
