I’m 95% convinced AA was told he couldn’t add payroll, but either way not being more creative cost us this year.

There are just way too many uncontrollable variables to make a statement like that. We should be good for the 3 to 5, after that it’s impossible to project. We caught a lot of lightning in a bottle this season if we’re being honest.

We had the second best team in baseball and were up 3-1 on the best team. Still wild they stood pat looking back. Getting past the dodgers should have always been the goal so they should have done something at least. Could have added a bullpen arm as, you can never go wrong adding depth there with the way playoff games turn to the pen

I mean maybe decade is a little overboard but the point remains. We will have a chance at the WS for the next few seasons.

I guess they truly thought Hamels would get healthy. Which is absolutely wild to me. Hell we got lucky Ian was a star from day one, imagine if he was like most of our pitching prospects...

baseball is so tough to win, dudgers been at the threshold for years and just kept adding and adding until they got there and even then we should’ve beat em

It is. The goal is to get there and hope you get hot/have a good enough bullpen to carry you. Our offense didn’t produce enough in the last three games to beat them.
