You can put them in whatever order you want but the dodgers Padres Braves Nats Phillies and Mets are the likely 6 best teams in the national league. Someone has to win the central by default but that doesn’t change the equation.

I disagree on the Nats. Max/Stras/Corbin is really nice but their bullpen is a mess, they have only two guys guaranteed to be average in their lineup (Turner and Soto) and they have a ton of payroll committed. I think they won’t be a winning team next year.

We had so much momentum and needed one more decent SP, didn’t even have to be a splash and we went all in on Milone. That cost us. Just don’t have the support from the top down to go all in and that’s so disappointing, man.

We have Ronnie for the next 8 years. Ozzie for the next seven years. Pache we will have 6 years. Soroka, Fried and Ian for the next 4 years minimum. We have two good catching prospects. A healthy farm system with talent. We have one bad contract on the payroll that expires after 2021 (Ender). And our international penalties are done. We still need to draft well but team is set up for a sustained run. The Ozzie/Acuña contracts have given us extra years to build. The future is really bright.
