Here's what's frightening. If Pruitt is already disliking the job and perhaps even wanting out (speculation still, but looking somewhat realistic), who's to say he doesn't subtly sabotage the program even further over the next 12 months if Fulmer doesn't fire him? He wouldn't be dumb enough to do anything to get fired for cause, but it wouldn't be hard for him to just really take it easy on the recruiting trail and further dismantle the program before getting a hero's welcome back in Tuscaloosa as their DC.

Remember, he has no loyalty to UT but extreme loyalty to his alma mater. If he's got a lame duck year and he knows he's getting fired anyway, why not torch the place that he grew up hating on his way out?

Of course, that assumes he has no desire to ever be a head coach again, as doing so would be the end of that aspiration. But it's a possibility. He may be a future Bob Shoop/Kevin Steele where he tries to be a coach once and utterly fails and goes back to where he's comfortable.

I don't believe he would do that. He wants to win.

Hugh Freeze would come here now
If we weren't allowed/willing to hire him as OC, I doubt we'd bring him in as HC. People keep making the mistake of believing the university cares about our opinion. They don't.

100% better and the diagnoses were in your quote. Speaking of that, you ok with not responding to each other? Neither of us get anything out of it.
No the 'diagnoses' were in your far-fetched assumptive conclusions of my posts.

100% fine with you never responding to another of my posts. If you go back, you're always the one who starts these ridiculous chains - I'm certain, you've got one more reply in you as well.

Freeze would be an amazing hire, yes. But this job is bigger than one candidate. There’s 50 different coaches at least that could win a lot of games here.

Some of y’all might want to find a new hobby because Pruitt’s not going anywhere this year. We’ll hire a new Dick Trickle after 2022.

As much as it sucks, AV is right - administration doesn’t want to be driven by football program and the chasms are too exposed and driving away interest from outsiders. We are going to be approaching Vandy status in the not too distant future.

I'm out on everybody. I'm also out on Atlanta Vol. It's all just noise and contradictory reports. Hire Hugh and watch us win.
I hate to see it but there needs to be a massive boycott. When covid disappears in January, and stadiums are allowed to fill up next fall, there shouldn't be a fan there. I doubt that would help. Idk what else would work, ut fans are like sheep. Something has to change, it gets old.
