Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

CDC has said total cases is close to 10x reported tested positive.
Wow! Do you believe that estimate?

As stated, I have nothing to use as a way to project the actual count. CDC is a quasi-government entity so I am inclined to not trust them outright. But if others feel it is a fair estimate, I'm okay with it.

if true, 100,000,000 infected. That would radically alter the percentage of fatalities (which is likely not accurate).

...and that 10M number is known cases. I have no idea how many had it and thought it was mild allergy, cold, or some other thing. It's higher than 10M but I have no idea what a reasonable increase to the count would be.
so masks are not working ? Facebook needs to amp up its game

NYC did antibody testing on over 15% of the population, a good sample size. Results were that 27% were positive for coronavirus.

That's close to the 100M infected out of 340M population

Given most people have a mild (allergy type) to an asymptomatic case theres good reason to believe it substantially higher.

So maybe it’s not reading comprehension. Masks work. It’s people who refuse to wear them. Lastly if you base your life on Facebook you get what you deserve, sheep
I dont have the liberal FB crap The masks worked out well for 10 million didnt they

Why do you persist in presenting false facts? That is not what the Pres of Pfizer said at all. It is looking good and the real good news is that they gambled and are producing copius doses as though it will ultimately be approved. So they will have 500mm doses produced to coincide with approval date if it continues to succeed going forward and a billion doses by 3rd qtr 2021. Since it is a two dose system that will suffice for 500mm people

Do you intentionally mislead or do you not know how to read or listen?

A fair question to ask:

Why couldn't this have been announced one week ago?

As usual your analysis is off the rails. There are two classes of “us”. And while numerous terms could describe let’s just use “smart” and “stupid”. So it’s not protect “us” from “ourselves” it’s to protect the “smart” from the “stupid”; or the informed from the ignorant, or the happy from the miserably unhappy, or the positive from the negative or wait for it winners from losers.
Why would the "smart" need protection from the "stupid" if the "smart" are following the recommendations?

The death rate to the current approx 10,000,000 cases is 2.4% down from 5.8%
Yes, but that is a front loaded average. It's been a lot lower than that for a while. Which is why you keep seeing that number drop. The current I posted was that day from CDC.

They don’t get the money unless they develop an efficacious vaccine.

Under the arrangement, the federal government would obtain that first batch for $1.95 billion, or about $20 a dose, with the rights to acquire up to 500 million more, or 600 million total. Americans would receive the vaccine for free. Before it could be distributed, it would need emergency approval by the Food and Drug Administration. But the U.S. government does not pay the nearly $2 billion until the drug is approved and the first 100 million doses are delivered.
Dude, Pfizer themselves say they are a participant in Warp Speed. Take it up with them

And the next sentence from the actual Times article says, “On Monday, a spokeswoman for Pfizer clarified that the company is part of Operation Warp Speed as a supplier of a potential coronavirus vaccine.”

Not fair, I can’t read the Times article without a subscription.

I’m challenging the ruling on the field.
