They aren't hiring a failed Tennessee HC to replace Saban. It will be Dabo or Cristabol.
Dabo is never leaving Clemson. Its an easier job and he has been there for quite years as an assistant ans HC. He has two kids playing there and another coming up.

No reason for Cristobal to leave Oregon. The bar is too high at Bama. Would he almost impossible to please their fan base after Saban leaves. Someone off the staff would be a perfect transition.

The only way we improve quickly is with an elite QB. As long as Pruitt's recruiting doesn't cliff dive, I think it's best to hold off on a HC change and let Arch Manning decide who should be the head coach. I'm only half joking

Give me Hugh Freeze TODAY!!! That’s ridiculous that Pruitt has been like “oh well if I fail I’ll just go back to Bama no big deal” FREEZE WANTS TO BE HERE!!!! And he’d coach like heck to make it big!!

That isn't mysterious. Someone rolled into his knee in warm ups.
Not saying it is. But others I am questioning. Why did Ty come in for one snap if he is injured? Why did Alontae play against Bama and looked healthy, then didn’t travel to Arkansas. Maurer not playing in the beginning of the year because of an injury but then is running scout team QB for Kentucky? Just a lot of weird things going on.

Oh you’re the #1 recruit in the nation as a RB but want to play LB. Sure, we’ll take you.

Oh, you are a WR with speed that make people look silly when you have the ball in your hand. Sure, we’ll take you.... As a DB...

Oh, you’re on of the top QBs with offers since 8th grade and the future of a program. Sure, we’ll take you..... To be 4th string.

Pruitt 101

I agree. I hate that it is not going to work because I like him. I don’t get the name calling and people claiming he is stupid. The man went from an elementary gym teacher to multi-millionaire. He is not stupid, just not ready for this type of job.
I don't get it either. this isn't like Butch killing our program, injuring our players, recruiting garbage talent and then flipping us the bird on the way out the door. Pruitt has given it his best shot, he just wasn't ready. And that's okay. He's a guy who could learn and grow more and get another chance and do much better. But, as much as we were excited about him when we hired him because he wasn't Schiano, we should have known that this program was in no shape for someone who was a first time head coach.

Agreed. I think Pruitt is an elite DC. He is not a good head coach. Some coaches are just meant to be coordinators. Same thing with Muschamp. We can all agree Pruitt will be a major programs DC if we let him go.

“See if you can go on it.” has always been a thing.

For 3 years Pruitt has been like oh well I can always fall back to Bama DC of things don’t work... we know that this is true but WHY would you openly the people that? It will get used against you by this fan base at least keep it to yourself! @Bassmaster_Vol im fired up. FREEZE BY MIDNIGHT!

I agree with that

Pruitt isn’t going anywhere. Zero chance he gets fired this year...
I do expect some other staff changes however....
Translated, the Tennessee administration is committed to leaving the football program at the lower level of the SEC. Blaming the problem on assistant coaches is as Tennessee as it gets, not holding the person responsible for their actions.

Since Fulmer, we have hired a coach that was a recruiting violation just getting ready to happen with no integrity and then hiring three "coaches" who obviously were not ready to coach at the SEC level. Answer, keep an incompetent coach and blame it on others. Yet the sunshine pumpers will expect different results.

I get the fact that NOW because of the poor decisions noted above financially Pruitt will not be fired. The hole dug is due to the UT administration and any boosters who supported the hires. Regardless of who UT is able to hire as assistants, it will not change the fact we are a lower tier SEC program and will be for years to come.

For me, I am done supporting the program financially. I will watch from afar and until I see concreate proof the administration is committed to providing quality football I will randomly watch on TV. I am not a fair weather fan just a person that has been burned too many times over the last fifteen plus years. The people who are really hurting the program, at this point, are the sunshine pumpers and boosters who support the decisions made like keeping Pruitt.

As much as I don’t like Butch, recruiting was not off with Butch.
