I think a lot of these “injuries” are not real.

Hmm? It was a genuine question. You said proven SEC coach. I listed the ones that have won their division. You could obviously throw in some names that have not accomplished that too - Freeze obviously.

That's why I was curious if you meant coordinators too. That opens things up a bit.

I think Pruitt did not want him. IMO, Pruitt does not want a wide open offense. He wants an offense that protects the defense and allows the defense to rest. Times have changed, you need a high scoring offense even with a good defense.

Yup. They seen to be fine identifying issues, but incapable of fixing them. Pruitt just becomes more mad each press conference. That's nice and I'm glad, but at this point it is a genuine question if he knows how to fix things. He never had to at Bama and fsu, etc.

One of my old teammates and best friends was on the strength staff, he’s at Nebraska now. They still communicate. There are big problems at UCF that are being hidden due to amount of overall talent they have there.

Since when does proven mean winning your division? Freeze is a proven head coach who beat Bama twice.

I was trying to add an objective parameter because successful is subjective.

I was just trying to understand your list of options, but it's like pulling teeth. 3 posts later I'll assume you don't mean coordinators at least. That narrows it down for us some.

Like I said, I had heard good things about Huepel at Missouri. Things change when you are the HC. Whole different challenge

Someone on here said at the last coaching search, that we were the National Champions of coaching searches. I agree. Seems we live for them. However, think back at all the coaching searches and tell me how many of those that were hired were actually coaches VolNation wanted? Yeah, I couldn't think of one either.

I think he'd learn to like him if he started winning since the program will be on life support in a few more weeks and the fanbase will be cussing Ole Phil... he will not be welcomed many places and will start having to field the tough questions... then all of a sudden Freeze deserves a second chance.

Yes no coordinators with zero head coaching experience. But not opposed to a current coordinator if they have head coaching experience. Such as Sarkisian even though he would be down the list.
