I hope this isn’t serious. He threw every pass where it should have gone except for the last pass, but it was the last play of the game and he threw it up for someone to make a play. His play in one series was better than what we have seen from any other QB all year.

I’m ignoring the last play and the 4th down I guess. I’m saying the check down was a bad decision. Ultimately that was him being unprepared for the situation like the entire team is every week. It was better play than any QB on our roster, that is obvious.

I will either give the same level for the next 3 years until my son goes to college. If it hasn’t changed my investment will be zero. Still considering dropping it down and just helping basketball. If my son’s career takes off where we can’t do as much then I will pull out completely. I do think Phil has it rowing in the same direction for the most part but this is looking like a bad hire and rowing in the same direction doesn’t fix that.
Then pull the plug now and not a year too late!

Mercy me I hope this isn’t serious.

He threw every one of those check downs over the middle for short yardage just AS ARKANSAS WANTED him to do. Your math must be worst than bama Jeremys thinking 5-8 yards passes in the middle of the field were “exactly where it should have gone” in a two score game late in the fourth quarter.

He would be down the list. Cincinnati and UCF seem to win no matter who the coach is. I think we need a proven winner in the SEC.

The coaching landscape has changed. I agree that we started going cheap, and it all started with Hamilton hiring Dooley. But all coaches get paid well and aren’t just jumping to a job like UT.

You can hire a good coach from a lower level, but you have to have administrators make good decisions.

Not going to say we should move on grom Pruitt, but the two most vanilla teams in SEC are UT and UGA. Difference is they have National Championship talent this year and we dont. GOT to be more creative and imaginative on Offense no matter who is in charge.

We have one of the best O lines in the country, solid RB and solid wr’s and we are wasting it.

But seriously, if we go 2-8 is there a chance he's fired this year? Personally, im expecting him to be fired next year, and a mass exodus of coaches after this season.
Nope. Money is too tight and COVID will be listed as an excuse.

Ansley probably dips back to the NFL and Chaney finds another job. Chip Long OC.

Then we go 7-5 next season and who the hell knows.

We could double his salary and give him money to hire any assistants he wants. It has not changed that much. Our expectations have since our administration has been terrible at hiring coaches. Coaches want to win national championships and lower level schools do not have a chance at that. Plus, if you do well at UT, you could make it to the NFL. We haven’t seen that but many have aspirations to go to the NFL.

I agree but at 2-4 I am ready to just roll with HB and give him a 4-5 game audition. If he fails clean the entire QB room out after spring
I should have been more clear in my statement that up until this point JG was our only hope at winning. I am in total agreement that it is time to move on and build for the future.

Pruitt and the entire offensive staff set Bailey up for failure in his first drive last night. You run 7 or 8 straight run plays then the kids first pass attempt is on a 4th and 4. Then on the last drive of the game they call what 4 or 5 straight vertical plays while Arky is in a prevent defense....what did you expect Bailey to do but take the check down every time.

I’m not sure he’s not one of the main problems. Zero imagination. Zero! One of the things last night that will go unnoticed was the second to last offensive series before halftime...because it didn’t really hurt us at the moment, but imo, was just bad coaching. We are up 10-0...running the ball effectively and with 1:50 left on the clock he calls a go pattern to Brandon Johnson in the end zone. A first down there let’s you milk the remaining time, add a minimum of 3 offensive plays and still be in position to get 3 points. Not only does the incompletion stop the clock, it also risked being pushed out of FG range with a sack...not to mention a missed FG allows Arkansas great field position with 1:50 remaining. Turns out it didn’t bite us, but go routes and handoffs right up the gut aren’t going to cut it...won’t cut it in HS ball.

If the QB delivers on time and accurately toward the back pylon then it’s 6. Not taking up for him but we are all excited if the QB executes. WR and OL did. JG is an issue. He just is.
