This is where I am. I was super close after Butch, but when Fulmer took the interim AD and then officially full-time, I had hope that he would mend the division that occurred when he was pushed out, and everyone would finally start rowing in the same direction on the Hill. Painful that this is not the case. Even our NC winning coach can’t get the entire administration and boosters rowing in the same direction. It makes me think no one can do it, if he can’t, which leaves us at this...how do we ever ge back to being among the elite? I’m not sure we can without everyone on board to make TN great again. This is a sucky feeling. @InVOLuntary has said this on this board numerous times...it’s all about the financial bottom line. It’s not about winning. The administration knows what our fanbase is like and has taken advantage of it in a time when the money in football is astronomical. Instead of investing the revenue that we give them on a quality coach and trying to win, then keep feeding us hope with the next up and comer for 3-5 years, let us keep spending our money, make maximum profit, then spit that coach out in 3-5 years. Rinse and repeat. Until our massive fanbase says we have had enough and stops supporting the crap coach they throw at us, it will be status quo, no matter if Neyland himself came back to life and led the charges as AD. It is what it is, and is very frustrating for our great fanbase. We deserve much better!I think we are reaching a point in the road where everyone is starting to check out on UT football. Patience is barely hanging on. The administration knows it is barely hanging on and they can’t afford for football to not bring in money.
The Chicago Cubs did this for decades. Why try when the fans show up no matter how bad the team is?This is where I am. We all would, but unfortunately, those who make the decisions and have the money could care less what happens to TN football. They just take advantage of this great fanbase.Long time lurker here, this is my 41st season of pulling for our Big Orange. I realize the last decade has aged us all for years beyond the ones we're living. I don't want to say I've given up on us coming back to our glory, but it looks more unlikely every game we play. I wish I knew the answer for us to get there because I would do every damn thing in my power to bring it to fruition.

just insane the hires this program makeshe might not have taken job but he was waiting. Meeting had been set between Currie and Sexton but Currie was in Columbus trying to convince people in Knoxville to take Schiano. it was before Florida had made a move
He needs to let his OC do his job.
I'm sitting in my deer shooting house still pissed off.
You have to be way smarter than this when arguing that JG was the problem last night. JG played darn near perfectly for what he was asked to do so stop it with the using of stats to say he played poorly especially after last nightLol! What?!?! He was 5/8 for 42 yards and played into the third quarter. That is terrible. We should have been up 24 by half. Bailey had more yards in one series. Coaching is horrendous. Our QBs have gotten worse. I’m afraid of what they will do to Bailey with an off-season. Right now he is just playing with limited snaps and off of his talent and he is easily our best QB.
It’s obvious Meyer and Freeze will be coaching at one of USC, Texas, Michigan or Auburn in the next few years. We all know that right? Those teams will try and win. We will not.
****ing dumpster fire. AGAIN
Next year. We have a lot of young talent that just needs development. Bailey would be a heisman candidate in freeze offense. He’s just mad still over the whole Michael Oher thing. Coach Fulmer, just put that behind you and go out and get the best HC for the job! Freeze would have this team competing in 2 years for the East. JUST DO IT!!!
Look at the bright side! For those that like to keep up with when the players quit in games and blame it on QBs well .....
the team knew it was over when their leader JG went out
