Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Do you have an oximeter? If not, get one.

Not a whole lot you can do from home. Take your zinc, your D3, elderberry, etc.

Pounding the zinc, vitamin C and been sitting out in the sun each day since it’s been nice for the Vitamin D production. Wife is grabbing oximeter today. Just interested at what point anyone else felt like it was mostly behind them with little risk left for pulmonary issues to start showing up.

So deaths per case. 2.4% U.S. 2.3% Norfolk VA

The good news for sure is, as COVID 19 continues to mutate, the death rate of deaths to # cases continues to drop. Early on that stat was 5.8% and so it’s now less than half that.

But the purpose of my post was to point up that Election Day has passed and the predictions by the deniers/ conspiratorial theorists was that no new cases would be reported. Another presentation of alternate facts by those who supposedly claim to despise “fake news” yet are the biggest authors of the B.S.

I don’t deny that the Covid virus is detrimental to unhealthy / people over 69 years old . I mean the survival rate of those in that danger zone is only 94% . Imagine this much panic over a virus that at its worse has a survival rate of 94% . I like facts that aren’t political .

I’ve also been wondering, now that Biden looks to be the next President, how long will it take for the pharmaceutical companies to switch over from producing the “unsafe” vaccine to the “safe” vaccine?

I’m guessing around 10 weeks.

Show of hands and looking for intel, who on here has had this thing? I’m on day six since the first symptoms. First 2-3 days had off and on fever, legs hurt, headache off and on and congestion. Haven’t developed a dry cough, just occasionally cough due to the congestion.
Lost my taste and smell around day 4- that’s kind of weird. Was reading that after day 5-6 it could get interesting wrt pulmonary issues, O2 levels, etc.
I dont know that I ve had it.

From those that I know that have had it.

- one described it as a mild cold that last a couple days
- one described it more like a week long flu
- several tested positive after contact and would have never known they had due to not having any symptoms. - One of which is coming off cancer treatment last year. He was told he had it at some point.

Its an odd virus.

Its going to be a curious topic to follow.
Obviously the media coverage is going to change drastically, regardless of what really is happening on the ground.

I haven't had it but my 31 year old son and 82 year old mother have. Son has no health problems. He was sicker than a dog for about 3 weeks. Fever between 101-103 the first 11 days. Dropped to between 100-101 for about 4 more days before dropping under 100. Sore throat like strep. Body aches. Lots of coughing. Severe headaches. About day 7 or 8 he got nauseous and stayed that way for a week. Extreme fatigue. During the 2nd week he developed burning spots on his legs and back that sound like what people with shingles describe. That lasted for 3 or 4 days. Lost sense of taste and smell. That took weeks to start coming back and still hasn't completely and it's been several months. Lost 20 pounds and has only gained 3 back the last 2 months. Not much appetite. Never had any breathing problems.

Mom on the other hand is 82 and in a nursing home. Tested positive 2 weeks ago. Was moved into the quarantine section. Had a mild fever for 2 days and a persistent cough. No other symptoms - if the nursing home is being honest with us. Cough started clearing up week 2 and they were moving her back to her regular room yesterday on day 14. So she had it much easier than my son.

Isn’t it odd how it affects people differently ? Sometimes , from an outside looking in perspective , it doesn’t make sense . Each of us just tolerates or doesn’t tolerate it in different ways .

I thought they'd at least wait a couple weeks before showing their hand on the covid farce. Ballsy to do it so soon
