Their state motto is "The Land of Opportunity." It's because nothing is there. I spent a few years at Blytheville AFB in northeast Arkansas, I know whereof I speak.

It actually changed to ā€œThe Natural Stateā€ about 20 years ago. But yeah, northeast Arkansas sucks.

Flying out of Nashville at 2:30 on Friday to Fayetteville. Go VOLS! Looking forward to it and seeing some other Vols there.
ETA: @The Original Fade @gohogs14 or anyone else feel free to recommend a bar or dinner option in Fayetteville for Friday night.

Any bar on Dickson Street will do. For restaurants here are some I like:

-Hugo’s (Burgers in a basement on the downtown square)
-Herman’s Ribhouse (steak place that has been there for 40+ years)
-The Catfish Hole (really good hush puppies and atmosphere on game days, we host our coaches show from here.)
-Hammontrees (ā€œgourmetā€ grilled cheese, something different)
-Wright’s BBQ (Texas style, best in the region. Get the burnt ends!)
-Doe’s (steak)
-JJ’s Grill (restaurant/sports bar)

If you have a chance to get to the Bentonville/Rogers area there are some cool things too like the Crystal Bridges museum. I’m not an art person but it’s one of the best American Art Museums in the U.S.

Fly into Tulsa then drive to Fayetteville. Shorter drive and flights are usually cheaper.

Didn't see their game but they did put up 31 points...and that worries me for this week. They cannot be put into the easy column.

If we lose to a first year coach (only a position coach mind you) who's only a few games into inheriting an sec winless team.... Pruitt will be approaching a place he can't come back from.
Get ready, I don't see a win for the Vols

I watched the game and they are better than the Vols based on the Vols last 3 games. How both teams play when we play them is anyone's guess.

They rolled up over 450 yards on offense, Franks had over 250 yards passing and they played well in College Station, weather should be clear and mild in Arkyville Saturday night, probably the best measuring stick Pruitt will have this season, Auburn in three weeks will also be a good indicator of where we are, not supposed to win, not predicted to lose, just a measure of where you are

Guys, I was born and bred in Tennessee (Cleveland) and am a double grad of dear ole U.T. It was my destiny to marry a girl from Arkansas and my fate to promise that I'd return with her to Arkansas. I've been here since 75. It took years, but I finally opened my eyes and started to appreciate what I've got. I live in Ft. Smith (on the Oklahoma line) and am near all the natural beauty of the Ozarks. I'm damned happy now. I like to say that Tennessee is my mother and Arkansas is my wife. I'm doubly blessed.

For those going - anyone found anything on parking? The best I can find without needing a permit is the Harmon Ave parking garage.

In normal years I usually park across from the baseball stadium (Baum Stadium) and they have a shuttle that takes you to the game for free. But I’m not sure if they are packing people into the shuttle this year or not, you’d think with reduced attendance it wouldn’t be as hard to find parking but might want to call the athletic department to see which lots they’re allowing people to park in this year.
