Official Gramps' Memorial Eternal OT Thread

The Corvette ain't the easiest thing to get in and out of.

I have no trouble getting out of my driver's side Impala. I can't hardly get out of my wife's passenger side Altima.
I feel like I have to do sit-ups and pull-ups on the monkey bars getting out of that Altima when she drives it..

I’ve never been a car guy. There have been some cars that I really like but none that I would make my daily driver. I’m a truck guy.

I'm surprised. Thought for sure it would be some super-rare muscle car.

In his defense that Benz makes what, between 450 and 600HP depending on which one you get?
Unless you're a marathoner, good luck keeping up with her.

Children are as fit as endurance athletes

Thanks for cool post. Makes sense...also pisses me off that my football coaches made us run til near death , with "fall" practices in Charlotte starting in Sept. When its still 90 degrees every afternoon...with rare water breaks and people often throwing up from heat exhaustion. All in the name of "building endurance" Hell kids have better endurance than " marathoners and triathletes that compete at the national level"... nevermind the fact that my skinny ass that had been making myself eat more than I wanted and eat high calorie meals right before bed since last season ended.....trying to "bulk up"... and had to run up a big hill and walk down backwards in that heat until people starting falling out. Daily ...aside from being super dangerous to us, its cool to learn that it was also pretty much a waste of time.

My Fiat 124 Spider is near impossible to get out of with the top up - at least for a fat geezer like me.

Of course a seasoned gentleman like yourself just always leaves the top down, and parks it in the garage.... good to see ya beam.

* things that super piss you off*

When you haven't eaten supper yet and its 11pm...so you run through a drive thru ....specifically ask for certain condiments etc to be left off your food....its that 1 time a year when you didn't check your food before pulling away because you're just tired and wanna get home.....

Do I need to tell yall that I had to throw supper in the trash that I just paid bout $10 bucks for???

So peanut butter and jelly it is....

As someone who does "special orders" at fast food I feel your pain. No condiments for me ever.

You've probably learned that if you tell them the only things you want on the burger then the get confused but if you tell them the things you don't want on it they do it better.

I always check. Always

Update on LS build for camaro:

Finally sat down and ordered the last of the parts needed to complete the short block. Decided to go with a comp 54-470-11. 235/251 @ .050. Advertised @ 285/301 with 113 lobe sep. She will not be a sleeper, but noticeable and good cam for street and other stuff. Also, the melling HV/HP oil pump, front and rear covers, LS1 valley cover, cam and crank sensors and hardware.

Maybe I'll get some Christmas coupons from Summit this year.
