1911 is a sign. One morning , many years ago, I had to take my mother to the Tri Cities airport for an early flight. I was going to go look at a 1968 Olds 442 to possibly buy after I dropped her off. I set my clock for 5 a.m., and woke up before the alarm went off. I looked over at the digital clock, and it read 4:42. I took that as an omen, and bought the car.

Just so you know, I made enough money being an engineer that I just pay someone to change my oil and wash my vehicles. Now back in the olden days I changed my own oil, washed my own vehicles and changed my own brakes. Screw the olden days.

You guys really wash your trucks? Must be a western thing. Good Lord washes mine pretty regular. As far as oil, brakes, etc ...I could put it on the company card, but as long as my Pappaw was alive I did my own in his garage, since I don't have one, and enjoyed the company...can't bring myself yet to pay another man to do something I can do myself. 10 more years I will probably see that a little differently. Based on posts around here, most of yall have a lot more money than we do also...hopefully when I get these kids through school/college things will be better in that area.

My truck is a garaged bling truck. F250 Super Duty crew cab King Ranch. And yeah it gets washed about once every 6 months whether it needs it or not.

And honestly it’s fairly easy to work on for routine maintenance. For the major stuff I’ve still got the factory Ford Platinum Care warranty thru 2025. It’s a 2012 and only has 64k miles on it.

Not sure what to say about the gold thing except it should probably be illegal first as a road hazard and secondly for extremely bad taste ... this is the kind of thing that makes you think cruelty to even inanimate objects should come into play.
