Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Imagine being so stupid you still think a 'case' means something with a virus with a 99.9% survival rate and massive numbers of asymptomatic people.

I'm still waiting to actually know somebody with symptoms despite knowing several people that have 'tested positive'.
You still don’t know anyone that’s had the ‘rona?

But wrong math when eXpressed as a percent. the result of the numbers NGV used is .5%.

The % of people who have died as a function of those infected is 2.8% as of today. It has continued to come down. It is and will continue to be a moving number

For example the present run rate is 80,000 new cases per day. Deaths are not 300+ but approximately 800. So, right now the death rate is 1% of those infected today. But that doesn’t take into account the number of deaths resulting from the 80,000 new cases today will not be known for up to 3 months

Dumb strikes again.

You're confusing confirmed cases with infected. Put your dunce cap back on.

Maybe KD has updated stats but I saw this earlier regarding deaths in the US:

Number of deaths for leading causes of death:
  • Heart disease: 647,457
  • Cancer: 599,108
  • Accidents (unintentional injuries): 169,936
  • Chronic lower respiratory diseases: 160,201
  • Stroke (cerebrovascular diseases): 146,383
  • Alzheimer’s disease: 121,404
  • Diabetes: 83,564
  • Influenza and Pneumonia: 55,672
  • Nephritis, nephrotic syndrome and nephrosis: 50,633
  • Intentional self-harm (suicide): 47,173

Don’t wear one it’s ok with me. But don’t show up at a hospital screwing care givers over should get it. Man up suck it up and deal with it on your own. You don’t believe it’s all that fatal so you’ll be ok. What’s your blood type?

Wait - masks are intended to protect others; not the wearer. At least keep the logic straight.

I know that the ranking of #1 and #2 is correct, just not sure about numbers. Remember that our restrictions have discouraged people from working out in a number of ways, increased consumption of crap food while stuck at home, and delayed cancer screenings and treatment. But, PUBLIC HEALTH!

339/60k=.005 or .5 % that is the. % of deaths yesterday alone. It is and will always be correct for yesterday's numbers. I'm not sure if you like actual numbers or made up numbers.
