@Souce will either wayThen that falls back to coaching. If Pruitt knew Shrout or Maurer wasn't gonna be a capable qb to take over, then he should've brought in a transfer who was. Wait, he did, and the guy left. Probably because he saw that no matter what, JG was the guy. I'm sorry, he's not good, and the coaches should have done something, but they didn't. Once again, Tennessee is paying someone a ridiculous amount of money for us tp get embarrassed week after week. I honestly hope you, bigO, and anybody else can rub it in my face in 2 weeks, and mock me for these comments. Most likely, we'll get blowed out again, and we'll be back to these same conversations. I hope you guys are right, and I'm wrong, and I mean it.

That's not exactly the way I see the conversation, but okay. If it's not that, what is it?That we just suck because of lack of practice, and Pruitt will get things fixed basically. And our freshman qb just needs practice also.
tldrThat's not exactly the way I see the conversation, but okay. If it's not that, what is it?
JG being our best chance at winning, as mystifying and frustrating as that is, sounds better than Pruitt and Chaney don't know how to coach because people that have never seen a practice and only seen games from their tv and phone know more than they do.
Like I said, I don't know, but I just don't think it's as easy as "the coach sucks".
And it's just something that I don't get, but I'll never understand why fans bring up how much we're paying the coach. If he were making 50,000 a year would all this be okay because we're not paying him millions?
I hate you joe, I really do. At least right now. Here I still am...That we just suck because of lack of practice, and Pruitt will get things fixed basically. And our freshman qb just needs practice also.
pretty much nailed it but people don't have the patience. And finally, we’ve landed a few recruiting classes in the teens. Bama and UGa have been landing top 5 classes for well over a decade. It’s going to take a long time to bridge the talent gap. 5 star players are still choosing to go sit for 1-2 years at Bama, UGA(and Clemson and tOSU fwiw) instead of going elsewhere. Getting a new coach won’t change that. Building something here over time might.
For a moment forget about the other conversation and "excuses" and everything else.....And finally, we’ve landed a few recruiting classes in the teens. UGA and Bama had stable programs and were just racking up multiple top 5 classes. Meanwhile UT admins were dicking around with Dooley and Butch hires. I don't think Kirby is anything special at coach. I think head to head Pruitt will beat him if the talent gap is even. Kirby is just lucky to walk into a program that Richt stacked every year. For a moment forget about the other conversation and "excuses" and everything else.....
This is truth in and of itself.
Kirby did walk into a nice situation.UGA and Bama had stable programs and were just racking up multiple top 5 classes. Meanwhile UT admins were dicking around with Dooley and Butch hires. we can't afford to not give him at least 5 years before we start talking about a hot seat. And for the record I don't even think this year counts for coaches so prolly better make it 6! Oh lawd the FF people gonna set me on fire for that!Kirby did walk into a nice situation.
I'm not making excuses for Pruitt, he might not be HC material, but for all reasons imaginable, I ain't sold on giving up on him just yet.
Well, I don't hate none of you. We're gonna view it differently, it's as simple as that. I've not once said the backup was better, I'd just rather get the future guy experience rather than lose with what we have. Again, that's just my opinion, and I still don't hate any of you for yours.I hate you joe, I really do. At least right now. Here I still am...
We’ve missed on high end qbs every recruiting class since awhile back. Not all that falls on JP and the staff, a lot IMO falls on what he inherited. Shrout nor Mauer were highly touted qbs coming out of HS. Neither had an overly impressive offer list, both were 3 star prospects that needed to improve. Gotta show promise to land a high end qb. The early promise finally got us HB. Now he just needs to learn the system. Which he unfortunately got an extremely late start on. JP isn’t touting JG as a superstar, he just doesn’t feel the other options are any better, and history proves he might be right. The idea the backup is always better is asinine, especially in this situation. I also have seen no proof that JP is overriding Chaney here. Chaney has proven he can develop quarterbacks. I don’t know why JP would choose JG against Chaney’s wishes. Doubt Chaney would’ve came here if his hands would be tied. Too many uncontrollable variables for me to throw the coaches under the table. Yet.
I guess I'm bad at wording it. I absolutely feel lije if you're paying a coach millions, and even give him a raise, that in the 3rd year there should be improvement. But i regress, we'll see what happens in 2 weeks. That's not exactly the way I see the conversation, but okay. If it's not that, what is it?

To be clear, I hated you for luring me back in, not because of your opinion. It doesn’t do any good for the team as a whole if “the future” doesn’t have enough traction to guide the team, especially when a lot of the team is learning on the fly too.Well, I don't hate none of you. We're gonna view it differently, it's as simple as that. I've not once said the backup was better, I'd just rather get the future guy experience rather than lose with what we have. I’d argue prior to March, it’s for reasons totally UNimaginable
