Luck went to play behind an amazing OL with some solid skill players. I just don't think there's such a thing as a sure thing at QB. TL is never pressured and has played about 5 games his entire career against similar talent, never against superior talent where he's running for his life more often than not like Darnold is. I agree he is as good a QB we've seen for a long time, but going to a good team matters. I'd pull an Eli Manning if I were TL.Trevor is just different but you're right too. They need to go all out on offense to at least have 1 legit half of football in the next 3 years...keep TL healthy and offense chugging along and confident...then shore up the D later.
TL feels like the surest thing in a long minute...maybe since Andrew Luck. Unlike Luck, TL just needs to stay healthy.
If HB really hasn’t had much time to prep it’s the right choice to put JG out there. You may end up getting HB hurt against this defense if he’s still not ready for the protections etc. JG may start but I expect to see some HB and hope that this starts the passing of the torch for sure.
