Price “I’ve never understood the Brian Maurer love by the fans”
Thought he looked good at the E11, but not elite. He may show out a little...or be shell shocked...leaning towards the latter though.All eyes will be looking at LSU starting a freshman QB against SC this Saturday. I wonder if he'll look like a freshman or superman.
Im a pacifist, but, if someone were to put on a brown boo bag over their head, juss sayin if...and run out on the field and cock punch Nicky, there MAY (Or May Not) be a bag of dollhairs for you somewhere on Campus.That’s genius. Do it! Start the day off with a win. Might be the only one we get tomorrow!
He seems fine jumping up and down after scores and playing scout QB every week. I think he is transferring and they are keeping it under wraps until year end. If he plays then I am complete FOS and will eat crow. But if he doesn’t play at all this year, I think it will be pretty telling.
You at sumbi** sold me at tarr n' rim up ar off the Highway? Seems like if a sumbitc* is gunna sell sumthin' he should stand behind it.You. Me. Waffle House. Knives and knuckles. 3AM.
@nicksjuzunk will referee
Its not that he was amazing. He was different. He could run. He was youth and someone to build around. Not the same lame SR thT still plays like a Freshman.I mean he had a 45% completion percentage with plenty of snaps. If they weren’t so sick of jg people would realize that he just wasn’t very good.
Would be nice if games were won by short bursts of crowd enthusiasm. Maurer might be undefeated.I was at the Georgia game last year. When Maurer hit Callaway in stride for that long td Neyland Stadium was rocking. The fans were in it, the sideline was in it, and fans at home were in it. There was a palpable energy. There was something different about having him on the field that wasn’t/isn’t on the field with Guarantano.
Exact same here. I will turn off my television when JG trots out there. Love the vols too much to watch him destroy the team. Gonna go do something productive like workout, go to the store, call my grandma. ANYTHING BUT JGNot me. I won't watch JG as QB anymore. It's just not enjoyable at all, and I've got better things to do, like literally ANYTHING else. I will forever cheer on the Vols, but I won't let it make me miserable.
If you’ll notice I was replying to a post on Price’s comment regarding the “fan love.” I didn’t say Maurer was a world beater. I was explaining why I love when Maurer is on the field.Would be nice if games were won by short bursts of crowd enthusiasm. Maurer might be undefeated.
Reality is he hasn't started and finished a full game and won.
And he will lose this fanbase. Die hards will always stay, but I bet many will find better things to do on Saturdays too. If JG plays all game against Bama and doesn’t play well, I will be recording our games from now on and rewatching them only if we win. It’s not worth ruining Saturdays.My money is on Bailey won't see the field until the 4th quarter. Pruitt wants so badly to be right about JG.
He’ll likely throw two quick picks in 1st Q and it’ll be Bailey from then on this season. The comeback win tomorrow will be epic.
