Those were head-shaking times for me. He would continue to get blasted on here, yet continue to make plays. He certainly wasn't the best we had, but also didn't deserve the level of criticism he got. As you said, he was good enough to make the league. Nothing has come of it, but he couldn't have been too bad to do that.

We did that last year.

Then the officiating happened.

Then JG happened.

And here we are a year later and it doesn’t look like we are getting closer.

I hope I eat crow, but our time isn’t coming anymore than it has the last 13 times against these dudes.

If the staff restricts the playbook for whoever they start they should all be fired immediately. Trust whoever you trot out there or play somebody else. Maybe not against most teams but when you’re playing a team that has the cfb record for consecutive games with 35+ points you had better come in trying to light up the scoreboard

Same here. And sometimes we get rewarded like that late comeback game with Dobbs at South Carolina. My hubby had to come to see what all the screaming was about.
I do admit that watching JG is just hard 🙁

To be fair alabama has clapped just about everyone they have played since at least 2010. People talk about clemson destroying the other teams in the ACC, but I would imagine alabama probably is beating SEC teams by an equally bad margin on average the last 10 or so years. Trying to comeback is probably the hardest for us because alabama is our permanent cross division rival.

Would be nice if the rain gets pushed back a few hours and turns this into a sloppy game.

Need to do what Kentucky did to us and just keep everything in front of us, hopefully Mac Jones tries to force the issue some and we actually catch the ball. I mean they have to be due for a let down game offensively here soon.

That and pound the rock and maybe we have a chance.

True, but Saban isn’t gonna say someone’s a bad coach though either. But you can guarantee he wouldn’t bring up Maurer unless he genuinely thought it was someone his defense was gonna see this week. Jmo
