Over the course of last year and this year, it seems like Pruitt is putting other QBs out there simply to justify why he keeps starting JG.I 100% believe that Pruitt will start a new QB against Bama.
I also 100% believe that by the 3rd series, he will trot out JG
UGA’s talent is also better now than it was then. Butch’s first year was 2013 so we’ll start with 2009 UGA recruiting rank:
2009 - 4th
2010 - 11th
2011 - 7th
2012 - 9th
***Butch hired Dec 2012***
2013 - 12th
2014 - 8th
2015 - 6th
***Kirby hired Dec 2015***
2016: 6th
2017: 3rd
***Pruitt hired Dec 2017***
2018: 1st
2019: 2nd
2020: 1st
I cannot believe their success so far. Well done PittmanJury is still out on Arkansas, but Pittman was smart to hire good coordinators and let them coach. Odom is doing a heck of a job scheming that D with average athletes.
Not to mention, Briles puts Franks in easy reads that he can execute quickly.
Literally zero reason to not start him. It better be Maurer and Bailey that take the reps verse Bama.Bailey needs to start this week. Clemson waited till the 5th game of the year with Lawrence for his first start. There are low expectations for this game so no one would be expecting him to light them up. A plus is that Bama is down on defense this year.
Is it 2 players total, or 2 on offense and 2 on defense? If it's the latter, I'm going Dobbs and Jennings on offense and Barnett and Bituli on defense. Bituli's leadership was big for last year's D, IMO.
Not sure why some struggle with this. Someone accused posters of wishing COVID-19 on JG last weekIt's a message board. To discuss Tennessee football, which happens to include the players on the team. Nobody is saying JG is a bad guy. And most acknowledge it's not his fault that he's bad. It's on the coaches for lack of development or unwillingness to move on from him. JG just is what he is. He doesn't have it and never will. It doesn't mean we think he doesn't try or bleed orange. One thing is obvious though - he isn't a leader, and that is a pretty important trait of a successful QB.
Recruiting wise SURE!...but the talent they had already on roster was better suited to win big games!...they just got blown out by Bama lol that wasn’t the case then
Yes, but sadly it is just the right amount of idiocy the market will bear apparently. It's like all the tabloid magazines...they only exist because the masses buy that crap. Can we agree on one thing? There are WAY too many media people covering UT Football and most of them don't really know anything.
