Probably true. Just wonder if he can make enough plays with his legs to keep it interesting. Neither he nor Shrout is a long term solution in my opinion.I just don't think Maurer is mentally strong enough to do much, and I do not mean that as a put down. I feel for the kid, my stepmom struggles with it, and I understand it.
when was he available? spring? summer? fall camp? after the season started? so your plan is take reps away from the guy that is starting, and the two guys that have 2 years in the program, and give them to a guy that you don't know is capable of starting, all on hte hope that the guy that is starting won't implode, but if he does, we have a plan.........?They didn’t give him reps When he was available. Now they’ve realized their mistake and are correcting it with these scrimmages
did they walk over and cough on him every day or something? or send him to nursing homes w/out ppe?
lol....it's the coaches fault he got quarantined for contact tracing.....
i think the word you're looking for in there is "...because he missed a lot due to quarntine".....and there was no freaking spring...for anyone.....

Getting reps hasn't helped JG so why are we still giving them to him?when was he available? spring? summer? fall camp? after the season started? so your plan is take reps away from the guy that is starting, and the two guys that have 2 years in the program, and give them to a guy that you don't know is capable of starting, all on hte hope that the guy that is starting won't implode, but if he does, we have a plan.........?
wtf. so not only is it their fault he got quarantined, they're also accountable for not being able to predict the future....and account for it in practice?
what is this, the football version of Minority Report?
I would LOVE for the reason we lose to be the officials. I doubt they'll need to do anything but speed the game along.I’m legitimately curious as to how the officiating looks this Saturday. Last year was a screw job at critical points in the game.
If we somehow make it close, does the screwjob get called in again?
I don't necessarily agree with your argument but love the minority report comment.when was he available? spring? summer? fall camp? after the season started? so your plan is take reps away from the guy that is starting, and the two guys that have 2 years in the program, and give them to a guy that you don't know is capable of starting, all on hte hope that the guy that is starting won't implode, but if he does, we have a plan.........?

hindsight is a beautiful thing.......................................................Not really if reports are true that they didn’t give him reps when he did come back. They prioritized JT over him and that was a mistake imo
That's what Butch said about Dobbs, till he was forced to put him in and he played a lot better than all the other options. When something isn't working, you try something else, even if you THINK the something else won't work either. Put Gray in at QB rather than playing someone who is 100% not working. They all suck
