My cousin Tony was a walk on in the late 80s. He loved every minute of just getting to be a part of the Vols.

Don't switch to personal attacks. That's not a good look.

We've watched JG break down the last 6 quarters he's played. We saw him break down last season. He's a glaring problem that coaches have yet to fix, yet he's "our best option". If you don't see the problem in that, I'm afraid you and I will never see eye to eye. A coach's job is to figure out how to win. That's the reason they get paid millions. Continuing to trot JG out there does not help Pruitt in any way, shape, or fashion. All it does is infuriate fans. You can blame the player if you want, but the player has shown who he is. Now it's up to the coach to correct the problem.

Don't misunderstand me...I think JG sucks as a QB. I just don't see killing a kids confidence when he is obviously not ready.

Then you limit the playbook and you get him ready for that game. Every QB has a bad game in their career. If they don't have the mental toughness to shake it off and move on, they'll never succeed at the position.

How in the hell is this an attack? I think you are a very intelligent guy, with a pissed off emotional take.

Damn I wish they would just give you your way, I never wanted JG starting to start with...but Covid happened and ruined everything.

JG is the only QB we have they gives us any shot at all. Sure maybe it’s only 1-2 % but if he gets off to a good start and it allows his Front running mindset to take over we could stay in the game

if we start bailey that is 100% conceding the game and playing for the future.

How is putting JG out there showing fight? It's not, and the players around him recognize it. They look to their coach to make better decisions.

We should sit the starters a lot on Saturday. Let the other kids play and get experience. Then spend 2 weeks getting any non-JG QB ready for Arkansas. Woe betide any coach who loses to Arkansas.

There are 5 winnable games after Alabama if we don’t get our major contributors killed this Saturday.

Playbook’s LIMITED anyway if the QB can’t execute.

Nope. Covid and the coaches screwed things up for bailey. They basically didn’t give him any snaps in fall camp and he missed a lot due to quarantine. That Sunday scrimmage after UGA was them realizing “oh sh**, we don’t have a QB!” They’re trying to get him ready now.

Saturday I would play shrout and/or maurer. I would tell JG “thanks for all you’ve done, but you’ve lost your job for now.” I wouldn’t play him unless it was an emergency. Let the other kids try to learn on the job. It’s clear JG is who he is.

Or do you have to wait until someone is available to fix said leak? This is where CJP is, he knows what he has in JG and Shrout (not a SEC qb IMO). Bailey and Mauer have not been available due to a variety of reasons (Covid, injury, personal, etc). CJP has tried to find a grad transfer but no luck to date.
