Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Neither would I complain about the drive. I would complain aboit the dumbassery involved by someone banning it knowing I could drive 6 hours to get it.

That said, I am upper middle class, pretty easy for me to work around this. Everyone cant say that. But F them, we were able to flip the bird to the FDA. Or so I am told.
And those same people would suddenly have time to wait in line with the other 40 million Californians.

Everyone deserves the vaccine right? That's 40 million people. That's a pretty long wait.

40 million people 8 hrs a day, maybe 3 minutes per person at best. 100 clinics doing this? That's 2500 days.

Make it 1000 that's 250 days.
Make it 10000 that's 25 days.

That's assuming full supply. That's still a long time to wait. Considering those same poor working class people are no more free to take time off than they would to travel.

Line that up with their time off, limitation to travel, etc, and the best still isnt that fast.

Who says everyone wants it? Also, I get flu shots at work. No time taken off.

I've yet to see why a governor feels the need to intervene in a medical decision of an individual.

CDC expands definition of “close contacts,” after study suggests COVID-19 can be passed in brief interactions — STAT

“After the officer was diagnosed with Covid-19 in August, health officials and staff at the correctional facility reviewed surveillance footage of his interactions with the six incarcerated people. Though he never spent 15 straight minutes within six feet of any one of them, he was within six feet of them at least 22 times during one eight-hour shift, cumulating in at least 17 minutes of exposure. During their interactions, the incarcerated people were wearing masks most, but not all, of the time, while the officer always had a microfiber cloth mask, gown, and eye protection on.”

Interesting that the CDC changed its close contact time recommendations based on this one anecdote, but they didn’t change their position on masks even though both parties were wearing masks and the CO still got the virus.

What is the proof he contracted it at the prison?

Contact tracing from what it sounds like. He had no other contacts who had the virus.

I'm no expert on how contact tracing works but not sure how that would be determined with an absolute level of certainty. Maybe he is married and bangs some girl on the side. Think he is fessing up to that?

Tucker Carlson: The curious case of Chris Cuomo, mask hypocrite

“By day, there he is, giving you more sermons about how you must wear masks. But by night, he's wandering maskless through his own building, endangering his neighbors and ignoring demands that he put on a mask.”

I’m not really a big Tucker fan, but I had never thought of this analogy....media opinion personalities are literally modern secularist televangelists.

The are elitist and that’s how they see themselves . The odd thing to me is , we see examples of it all the time and just ignore it . Pelosi with her hair , Nadler standing outside giving an interview, WH reporters /Fauci taking their masks off as soon as the cameras turn off or they think they are off .

Yup, like televangelists, they set standards that no one, including themselves, are able to keep. And when they break their own standards, blind followers dismiss the behavior and opponents scream hypocrisy. Meanwhile they just keep “preaching” and watching the $$ roll in.

Good article. I do think it’s unwise to go “all in” on herd immunity/protection. However, with a vaccine on the horizon, I don’t see how this is an “all or nothing” herd immunity debate.

Also, the herd immunity level formula mentioned in the article is 1-1/R. From the website rt.live (Rt COVID-19) the highest R value currently in the US is 1.4 in NJ. According to that formula, then herd immunity level for NJ would be highest in the US at 30% assuming current behavior and restrictions.

Or that they test everyone he contacted with to know they are negative.

I keep trying to find another term beyond troll for what EL does. He posts stuff, or just copy stuffs, and then moves on. Doesnt engage in conversation. It's a debate style for someone without substance.
Nobody on the left has substance. You had that purple tiger doofus in the pope thread talking about how Protestants in the south aren't charitable while Catholics are despite there being, you know, loads of actual data proving pretty much the opposite of what he said.

Leftists are not too different from animals- they act purely on feelings and instinct, with no reasoning. Humans are blessed with that ability, and the fact that there are people on this earth that choose to act and vote without any reasoning is just sick to me.
