I am 40+ years old, and all I hear about is someone coming to take guns. I have never seen it happen. At what point will people say "Hey, why do you continue to tell me this and it has never happened?"

You're not very educated on this then. Seriously. But I'm a nice guy and I'm going to try to educate you. Just ten yrs ago there was a very important landmark case. The city of Chicago had banned handguns (so there's your example of someone taking guns away). Mr McDonald ( a black guy) said that the city was dangerous (he's right) and that he needed a gun to protect himself. He appealed to the Supreme Court. He won by a narrow 5-4 decision. Think about that. We had 4 justices (including Ginsberg) who think that the Constitution does not give a guy the right to own a handgun in order to protect his family from gangs.

Due to Chicago's requirement that all firearms in the city be registered, yet refusing all handgun registrations after 1982 when a citywide handgun ban was passed, he was unable to legally own a handgun. As a result, in 2008, he joined three other Chicago residents in filing a lawsuit which became McDonald v. Chicago.[7]

McDonald v. City of Chicago - Wikipedia

This is why the SCOTUS is so important. If not for Trump's nominees, we'd be in danger of losing our 2nd Amendment rights. We were one vote short in 2010 of losing our gun rights. That's the truth

The simple fact that an unelected bureaucrat thinks they have the power to take away firearms is troubling enough. The guy should be removed from office immediately.

We are going to regret making these little health czars and their boards so powerful during all of this crap .

Three Victorians face $5,000 fines for breaching quarantine rules in outback NT
"The group wore masks while outside their place of quarantine, however their disregard for abiding by the rules set out in their work exemptions is disappointing," he said in a statement. "I have been advised by the Chief Health Officer that, as this breach occurred more than 14 days ago, they wore masks and had only a brief time outside quarantine, the risk to the community is very low."

The penalty for failing to abide by Chief Health Officer's directions is $5,056 for an individual

They wore masks, briefly broke the quarantine, very low risk to the community. A $5k fine seems entirely appropriate.

Because of those who are up in arms, so to speak , it will not happen. To keep God given rights you have to be vigilant. You've never seen laws passed that limit 2A? Then you aren't paying attention. It happened here in Virginia, if they can't take them away they limit your ability to purchase them. It's still infringing upon the right to defend yourself.
Red flag laws? Ring a bell. Your arms can be taken away upon an accusation... Unproven. Guilty before innocent.

Is the average age of death from this at 80 by now?
I remember a couple of months ago someone posted a tweet about Australia. The average Covid death was several years older than the average age of death. Completely bonkers we are worried about this.

As usual, Joe comes on strong but then realizes he can't do anything "legally"* about it so now instead of making them "illegal" he'll institute a "National Gun Buy Back" program.

Who the hell is going to sell their AR-15 to the goverrnment?

Colt, maybe?

*Until packing the Supreme Court.
