My questions are these....

Is it possible to see the offense play again like we did for 2 1/2 games and beat teams that have already beaten Auburn and LSU or have we just regressed so much that there is no turning back?
The team that I saw against USCjr, Mizzou, for a half vs UGA while far from perfect, was a formidable football team that I thought could win 7or 8 games. Clearly we’re a different team now, but we’re capable. I don’t want to scrap the season yet if there is still something worth playing for .

I'm not sure we beat SC or Mizzou if we played them now. They've progressed, and we've regressed. They took those losses and learned something. We took our wins and got overconfident. The real question is do we learn something from that KY loss? The fact we learned nothing from the UGA loss legit shakes my confidence, but we'll see.

My comments to Jeremy that he will never read or know about.

Change the QB to HB, change the trajectory of the program. At this point we would even take Maurer since at least he has a pulse and wants to do what it takes to win. JG and Shrout have proven they do not want to do what it takes to win or they would have done it in their "opportunities", especially JG. Does he have photos of something? At this point the program is teetering on going back to being a bottom feeder despite having better talent than during those dark days. We realize this is all new to you since you were at established winners at Bama, UGA and FSU with loads of talent. So learn from your mistakes as a first time HC and don't make them again, which is what you tell your players.

For HB starting - you have two senior receivers who are willing to go get the ball and hold onto it in traffic - Palmer and Johnson. Chaney needs to get them the ball along with any of the others who HB has chemistry. Let Gray do his thing at RB and feed him 20-25 times a game including passes in space. Teach at least one TE to find the opening in the zone underneath, to turn around and catch the ball for 5-7 yards. Throw that pass on first or second down - not when the D is expecting it. Give HB the authority to check into those type passes. On third down and long you need the TE to stay in to block on the edges at least until the OT's do better at it. You need Gray out on those passes, not using him as a midget to block blitzers. Chandler should be used only as a change up to give Gray a breather. Keep it simple, but effective. Watch how the unit responds overall. Then make adjustments and feed HB more of the O as he gains experience.

Or go 3-7, 4-6 and be on the hottest of seats for 2021 by playing your QB while losing the fanbase like Dools and Botch did in the previous decade.

Well, I have been blessed with so much going on starting on the GA Saturday that I have really not cared. We had a stomach virus then our son called from ER thinking he was having a heart attack especially after the aspirin helped. Test showed his heart was fine, but he has Barrett's esophagus which was acting up plus a panic attack on top of it. When he was operated on for the esophagus 12 years ago, they told us to watch because cancer develops sometimes. My niece went to the cancer center today. The doctor said the lumps under her arms and groin he thinks are cysts that can be removed, but the ones on chest and breast that are going up and down he is concerned about so set up a Cat Scan...have to wait until November 2. Husband is getting worse. And my German Shepherd's hip dysplasia is getting really bad so...... Don't y'all feel better now! Probably not. I tried.
Dang Cuz hang in there, praying things will get better for you

It’s amazing how quick this all went off the rails coming out of the locker room at halftime of the UGA. It’s like the football gods just woke up at that moment and was like “oh ****, the Vols are looking good and we don’t want them too, change it right NOW”.

I don’t think this nightmare will ever end to be honest. Up until this point I always thought everything cycles and we will be back. Well, it hasn’t cycled, and there has been no drop off from Bama and UGA is cruising and Fla will always beat us. I’m afraid this is just the reality for the foreseeable future guys.

JG continues to play= team continues to quit and recruiting tanks because they see how CJP thinks and don't want to be a part of it.

Maurer and/or HB plays= team is reinvigorated with change, creates a spark, who knows what happens in the W/L column, but recruiting stays strong or even goes up with recruits seeing we are looking at the future, aren't afraid to develop the young talent, and not afraid to play talent no matter the age.

Pretty F'n simple.

I’ll bet my ass nearly this exact same post word for word can be found in October of 2019 here on VN

It showed that we are a good QB away from being a good team. JG was serviceable and all we needed was average QB play, which we were getting. Then JG went full JG the last six quarters and gives us zero chance to beat anyone. We have to get Maurer and Bailey ready to play because Jarrett has gone off the deep end. Pruitt should know how fragile Jarrett is and that Shrout is not the guy. If he didn’t, that is a whole other problem in itself. I am ok with trying JG to start the season considering how we finished but he should have known that at any moment he could fall apart and we had to have our other QBs ready.

The only thing that matters is is the extension signed currently and binding?

if so your wording is at best misleading in that it leads one to believe it isn’t already in place and binding
Beginning of this was him benefiting from a pay increase THIS SEASON. That doesn’t “kick in” til next season. When did you start misleading your at best self?
