I am of a slightlly different thought than most of you.

1. JG should not play another snap unless there is no other QB capable of going out on the field. He should learn "coaching" like Jim Bob Cooter did during his time at UT.
2. I am not quite ready for HB to start...just feel the coaches have not prepared him and given him enough snaps yet. However, we should be getting him a lot more reps in practice.
3. Speaking of practice reps--they should be split between HB and BM with BM getting 70% of the reps (if healthy). Work with HB on about 10 plays for him to run during the Alabama game.
4. Vs. Alabama--start BM. Get HB some reps in and out of the game, maybe even 1-2 series in the first half if he is holding his own.
5. After Alabama, practice reps should be 50/50 with BM and HB for the bye week.
6. After the bye week, there should be a known starter moving forward and he should be getting 70-80% of the first team reps with the second one getting 20-30% of the reps

My hope is that BM shows he is healthy and is the starter. That allows HB a year learning the system and competing the following year. Also helps Salter see that he will have a true shot as well.

That being said, if HB comes out and shows he is the man, then you play him the rest of the year, and you do not pull him after one bad decision. You coach the bad decisions out of him. Pulling after one bad decision will have a QB looking over his shoulder his entire year.

Well, thay is true. I actually edited the post as you commented. If they are having to go the social media way, we have more issues than just at QB. Says they have lost faith in their coach, imo.

Wait until Vandy? Your team threw every QB onto the field until they found someone who could play...true freshmen amongst them. You don’t wait to start fixing something...or you end up like where UT and FSU are at currently.

don't think the word "weak" was ever typed? An 18 yr old freshman, who has taken only a handful of snaps in a game OR practice, will probably not fair too well vs Bama............... just my opinion and never said he was "weak minded." Thanks for asuuming you know what I was thinking. ESP is a great thing to have:rolleyes:

If his confidence can be ruined because he can't beat the best team in the country.... that would make him weak minded. He needs as many reps as possible and live game experience against good competition. He isnt going to he ruined. He will not play worse than JG.

Posts like these from Henry T and other rumblings in the locker room falls squarely on Pruitt. JG has been given more than enough time to be a serviceable starter and he simply brings down the team. Players don't want to play for him. Defense doesn't want to clean up his mess. Pruitt is going to lose the locker if he continues to play JG abd then benches other players at other positions who aren't performing.

I say, start JG. When the game gets out of hand, .........put HB in and play him the rest of the season

Not trying to be a smartass, but given the QB play this season how would Bama prep any differently? We don’t have a single QB, atleast on film for their team to prepare for, that their D has to respect.

If UT had weapons on the outside, I might be ok with it, but they they don't. Arkansas isn't Bama, nor will it be the national CBS game.

No. something like this should never been done in social media by a player. Now we are in a position where there may be a player/Head coach divide. If he doesn’t like something going on then he should ask to speak to Pruitt privately.

I think we have weapons on the outside...JG just can’t utilize them. But let’s wait. 😏

And are we seriously worried about looking bad...on CBS?
