JG is the starter against Bama (merged)

I kinda agree with you here. Stuff like that, especially from a leader, can create quite a divide in the locker room. I get HT has his wishes, but talking to CJP behind closed doors would be a more effective route imo.
How do you know HT is not already representing a unified locker room?

Going on what Trey Smith said about "always having JG's back" a couple days ago. Even if they are unified in their wishes, again going to the coaches personally would be a better route than posting something for the public to see. But who knows what's going on in the locker room really.

I read an article about how JG has to “show that he deserves to start” in practice this week. He also said that the whole offense has to do better this week and it “starts with me.” Why does every head coach that comes here feed us a bunch of BS coachspeak? This is the SEC and it’s an insult to our fanbase’s intelligence. We know he’s going to start, JP. We know you’re gonna leave him in there until he does something incredibly stupid. And we also know that you’re going to have our backups on the shortest leash possible since you’ve not given them any meaningful reps since the summer. So yes this all starts with you.

There's already a huge divide already since it appeared many players on this team have already quit on the coach. You could see that Saturday.

Let JG start and likely blow it. If HB starts and messes up ( hoping he isn't on the Shrout leash ) and JG comes in, we will never get rid of him.

i question a lot of this too... but if you expected him to come out and announce a qb change before the bama game you're kidding yourself.

let bama think and plan for JG and we play someone else they haven't seen... would be a good move
Plan for JG? They could watch re-runs of family guy at practice every day and cover the spread Saturday.

How do we know he didn’t speak to Pruitt!

Not a problem. Teaching myself 3D CAD so I can bury my head in that for hours...
What software are you learning? I’m trying to learn Gibbscam right now. I suspect I’ll probably go for a hike and come back and dive into that for the rest of the day.

Take 7 from Bama’s total and add it to our ledger and we cover the rogue play. 28-20 and we can start citing the odd ref calls. That help with “almost”?

What your saying is “if” JG hadn’t made that mistake, then “maybe” Tennessee would have scored a touchdown.....and maybe Bama wouldn’t have scored one on their possession.

Say what you want......but “JG” did NOT almost beat Bama. He “did” have a chance to make it a much better game, possibly keep momentum with Tennessee....and who knows what “could” have happened......but he didn’t.

Don't think for one minute this is all Pruitt, you know Fulmer is backing him on this. Wouldn't be a bit suprised if he isn't the one pressuring him to keep playing him. Something smells in the whole system.

Haha now that is true. I guess a little misdirection wouldn’t hurt though.

It would be so TN to get beat down by KY and then come back the next week and play Bama close

Give JG the start vs Bama, HB should start the rest of the season. Don’t let JG back on the bus. I respect JG as a person but his time at UT is over. Ready your breakfast and eat hearty.

Its got to be about knowing the playbook. JG will surely be on a short leash though.

I still blame the offensive line for the majority of the collapse against UGA. I will reiterate that not even Peyton Manning would be successful when the line can't block, especially not in the SEC.

I also give UKs defense a ton of credit for being ballhawks.
