Each and every one of you need to chill the eff out. I’m just as upset as you are but y’all gotta stop this ganging up on me because I was making a joke to lighten the mood. Dose up on your Midol and wipe your eyes, Nancies
You need to chill out with bringing the hammer down on anyone on this board with a negative comment. The people lashing out / ganging up on you are doing so more because of your very aggressive intolerance of negative posters. It does come across as overly confrontational. Not every negative post is irrational. Just bc someone doesn’t think we’re going 15-0 every year, or getting every 5 star recruit, doesn’t mean they need to “sack up” or they are weak minded “Nancies.”

The people coming at you right now are just using your joking comment as an excuse to attack you. I don’t think they are articulating their problem with you at all, but since I think I know what it is, I am attempting to articulate that for them. You have an interesting form of aggressive optimism which sometimes turns confrontational. More optimism. Less aggression. We’re all pulling for the same team here (minus a few trolls). 👌🏻

I’m not even trying to play the tough guy motive. I have no reason to. I’m one of the softest hearted people you’ll ever meet, if you ever do. I’m a Vol fan til I die like the rest of you but I definitely don’t deserve everyone taking swipes when I wasn’t even being close to serious. Just shows how miserable some really are. Can’t even make jokes around some in this crew.

Your "joke" isn't funny.

Are we at the point where we consider the possibility that Chaney’s system is too complicated? They mentioned on the broadcast how Pruitt commented about all they are asking the QB to do.

Is it possible guys like Shrout / Maurer are struggling to pick up the system?

It seems other programs have figured out how to be highly creative while keeping things very simple for their QB.

Understandable. Well thought out post. You’re not wrong. I’m just as frustrated as anyone, tbh. I was just raised hard nosed & driven and I don’t take well to the way some approach things but to each his own. I appreciate ya, buddy

I think you need to remember not all criticism is negativity. If it's based on reality, then it's just truth.

I have seen a couple of places (Basilio, low-level Knoxville media types on Twitter) make innuendo that the staff isn’t sure Bailey is the future. There is a small rumor out there that he isn’t the elite guy we were hoping for.

Has anyone else picked up on this?
Does anyone think it’s true?

That would be kinda depressing 🙃

They won’t do this, but if you dont trust the QBs to throw it, why not just run a West Point style triple option with Jimmy Holiday for the remainder of the year??

You have 2 great RBs, a 3rd string freshman RB that runs hard, a few athletes that can make plays in open space at WR that you can get the ball to on sweep plays (Velus, Hyatt, Calloway, to an extent Palmer) and enough big bodies to be the fullback (Beckwith, Banks, Crouch, Fant, Hodge) not to mention the OL actually performs well when run blocking, just can’t pass protect worth a damn. Hell, you feel like Holiday can’t do it, id bet Maurer has the athletic ability to. That type of offense with the athletes we have could give a ton of teams fits and make every game interesting. IMO if it clicks for them, it could be as dangerous as whatever the hell Kentucky did last year, if not more because we have better outside weapons than they did.
That's not something that you just start doing. That's an offense that has to be practiced for years. OL blocking schemes mainly. I understand your thought but I doubt we suddenly become a triple option team.

Are Friend, Weinke, Neidemeyer the only ones left from Pruitt's original staff?

Regardless of what happens this will be another new staff next year. At some point, if it's not already there, what decent assistant coaches would want to come here and be with Pruitt?

You too. Now let’s throw Bailey out there, have him light it up like Bray, and go beat Bama. ‘Slingers sling!

Yeah it does. Hard to see a win the rest of the season. Hopefully HB gets us some wins, idk. Not looking good. Losing to ky at home year 3 is rough. Ranking right up there with the 18 vandy beat down, and the 19 GaSt/byu losses .
Hopefully HB or one of the other QBs get the chance and we don't see JG trotted back out there for more of the same.

We heard that Chaney didn’t like HB. That’s why they went for Haynes king

Interesting that you and OrangeShade, who are agreeing with each other and defending each other, both used the phrase “to each his own” within a few posts of “each other”.

Now THAT’S a conspiracy theory.

My understanding is that is based on a limited number of snaps. And given how long we've been on quarantine lockdown, I can believe that. I don't think he's gotten a fair shot because of that.

If JG is truly the best option that is scary.
