Had there been an explanation as to why MLB forced the LCS to be played on 7 straight days? There were a lot of cooked arms on both sides the last couple of games.

So I have officially reached the terrible parenting status of infecting my oldest son with this nonsense that I spend too much of my time/money/emotions on. Declan fell asleep before the game started, woke up in the 3rd and tried his hardest to stay awake for the entire game. Think he finally lost the battle in the 6th or 7th. First words out of his mouth this morning was to ask what happened after he went to bed. Having to tell him crushed me all over again.

Off-season wish list.
Get Waters ready and make him the platoon guy with Duvall
Bring up either Ajax or Willy and have them split time with TDA
Re sign Ozuna
Make a move for Kyle Seager
Sign a proven starter ( Bauer, Stroman, Wood, Wahca)
Revamp the bullpen ( add Newk, Yates, Kela, Wilson, Ynoa, Subtract Tomlin, O'Day, Greene, Melancon)

I think it hurts more because we were up 2-0 and then 3-1 in the series, plus we were up 2-0 early in G7, but I can’t say that the better team didn’t win. We made some mistakes that really cost us, but we went toe to toe with the best team in the majors and we barely spent any time during this entire season with more than one decent (hell, even just league average) starting pitcher available at the same time. Last year, we were a better team than STL, and I’d have liked our chances in the NLCS against Washington. This year, our lack of pitching finally caught up to us and the offense couldn’t get it done when it mattered most. It happens.

Im assuming the WC round will be here to stay. I hope MLB figure out how to spread games out better to A) give guys days off in between and B) Get better start times in the earlier rounds.

Imo, if you were going to just pretend and add Tommy Milone, they should have added a difference maker to the pen. Add to your strength, as Trevor Rosenthal comes to mind.

Start times are what they are when you have so many games. Braves just aren’t going to be prime time when the Yankees and Dodgers are in

Nah man. You 100% did the right thing and you’ll never forget any of it. My daughters bedtime is 7pm and she loves nothing more than sleep. But she sat in my lap from 705 to 715 doing her version of the chant/chop waiting for first pitch and in that moment I really only cared if we won so I could have 4-7 more of those moments this week.

They have an exciting decade to grow up in for Braves fandom. However I will not subject her to one second of Tennessee Vols football, ever.

I wonder if they keep this round if they'll add a travel day or just keep all the games at the higher seed park. They could have G1 at the lower seeds park, travel day then 2 and 3 at the higher seeds park.

Three games in three days is no problem, IMO, but they need to continue to throw the higher seeds the bone of all home games.

I know you are right in the long run but man is it hard to feel that way in the moment. The family member who cemented by Barves fandom is long passed but the imprint was strong, now I've done it to him as well. Then I went ahead and had a second kid to ruin also!

Sadly Declan has now started to understand/follow "the Tennessee's" on Saturday football days so he is destined for misery.
