Question I've been considering today. JG has regressed IMO and I can't understand why. Is there something different we are doing offensively this year that I'm missing? JG is certainly a limited qb but he seems much elsey this year.

That’s probably right. We are in so much trouble next season if HB or Salter isn’t some kind of prodigy.

If it’s true that HB hasn’t taken reps at all, for whatever reason, then I have grossly overestimated this coaching staff. Put HB in starting this week, and get him ready for next year and take our lumps this year. This is if BM is a no go for the hamstring issue imo

Agreed, we need to start a youth movement. Or at least get the youth playing more snaps.

I mean ultimately that choice is on Pruitt but I think they thought they could get away with playing mistake free non-spectacular offense and buy some time. And to be fair, it probably would've worked with a QB that was less prone to having complete breakdowns once a mistake happens. With mediocre QB play we notched 2 good SEC wins and a decent half against UGA. It's just that JG has moments where a mistake that most players would shrug off without thought turns into a catastrophe.

I don’t know. Maybe. I still think we’re badly hamstrung at QB and that we haven’t developed well. But I still like Chaney.

Yep Chaney is doing nothing playcall wise to help the weak QB spot.

JG is who he is and the play calling at least has a chance to help that and he has failed to do it the past two seasons. Def not worth what he is making for sure.

You would think that being so badly hamstrung at QB that Chaney wouldn’t abandon the run and call upon that horrid QB to throw the ball constantly. But he does. We could’ve won Saturday if we never threw a pass. Had we been patient and ran the football. But Chaney can’t help himself

Just like last year when Maurer came in against Fl. He had never played and Chaney called like 11 pass plays in a row. He just can’t run the football.

Offensive scheming and play calling has been awful all season. Basically throw it up to Palmer is the passing game. It is one of the most uncreative offenses I’ve seen in college football.

Most definitely could be but thought the whole point of Bringing Chaney in was for Pruitt to be hands off. Who knows
