I also haven’t seen the coaches build plays around their QB to help him.

They have a system and they force that round peg into that square hole.

Not a lot of creativity to play to their strengths.

And I would say that about any QB - not a knock on JG.
Offensive scheming and play calling has been awful all season. Basically throw it up to Palmer is the passing game. It is one of the most uncreative offenses I’ve seen in college football.

Josh Dobbs was the #4 QB coming out of camp his freshman year. By the time the Bama game came around, Worley got hurt in it. Dobbs came in and finished it - starting a handful more games that season. They took the starter away from him the next season. First with Worley, then Peterman. When that blew up Dobbs went in and basically took the job over from there. I still remember his USCjr breakout game. It was incredible.

It's time for Harrison Bailey to be the QB.

Anyone eles see how HB’s throwing motion was super slow almost like he was trying to aim ball everytime?

The story around that was they were trying to Redshirt Dobbs because of his course load. Because that came from Lyle, I no longer believe that.

It's been plain as day all year long that the coaches didn't trust JG. Even in games we won, it was clear. I don't think it was as simple as forcing a system - Chaney has called a different offense everywhere he's been, including in his prior stop here. I think they've been so busy working around a list of things they either didn't trust him with or were afraid he'd screw up that there wasn't much left to build around other than the run and once that's taken away we've got nothing.

I agree. Creative play calling for Chaney seems to be limited to a jet sweep.

That’s probably right. We are in so much trouble next season if HB or Salter isn’t some kind of prodigy.
If it’s true that HB hasn’t taken reps at all, for whatever reason, then I have grossly overestimated this coaching staff. Put HB in starting this week, and get him ready for next year and take our lumps this year. This is if BM is a no go for the hamstring issue imo
