It would only be dangerous as a sandwich game if we were a conference championship contender who thought we only had to worry about UGA and Bama, and assumed we could overlook teams like UK on the road to a championship. We're not a championship contender and UK won't be considered an afterthought.

You're right in the sense we have no business overlooking them, but that's not the point. UGA and Bama are huge rival games for us, and that has never depended on us being championship contenders. The players were up for the UGA game and very much thought they could win it. Emotionally deflating for them. But I also gotta believe they'll want to redeem themselves for that horrible 2nd half, especially the offense and especially the OL.

From what I could gather I don't think they intended for him to go real deep into inns. He did good and just gave up 1 run in 4 innings.

I do not understand why KY thinks they have a good football program and team every year since they won nine games. That was a once a decade at most team for them. I don’t see a single position group advantage for them over us.

He’s a reliever and threw 42 pitches. That’s half a full start. He’s not built for starter length.
