The Atlanta Braves

That had to be the most stressful 7 nights
of Braves fandom ever.
If there was a way to extract the Braves fandom from my brain it would very easily be the best WS I've ever seen (wasn't alive for Reds - Red Sox in 75). Hell, we lost the damn thing and for Christmas that year I still got the VHS tape of the series recap story (or whatever the hell they used to call those things) and I wore it completely out because it was so damn entertaining.

Still easily remember 10 different "what if" examples from that series that just randomly pop into my head and make me sad. Lonnie on the bases, Hrbek and Gant at first, Puckett catch up against that stupid plexiglass, etc. etc. Capped off of course by "And we'll see you tomorrow night" and leading to Jack fsckin Morris. Also, when I really want to depress myself my brain will recall Bream grounding into the 3-2-3 double play in the 8th (7th?) of G7.

In the games in Houston, they had that cardboard cutout of Bobby Cox behind the Braves dugout and my mom brought up how much my dad would be grumbling about him, if he were still alive. He couldn’t stand Bobby. 😂

I think Tomlin gets the start tonight with Wright coming out of the bullpen at some point.

Wilson is the pitching hero of this series while it is great to finally beat Kershaw.
